I don't know but try asking one of the chemo nurses. At least where I go, the chemo nurses seem to know more about the odd unusual side effects than the onc. For instance, I had little red spots form on my shins or forearms near the end of the 4th and 5th cycle. My onc didn't know what they were. She thought that they might be due to a minor scrap but it was pretty clear to me that the skin wasn't broken. Today my chemo nurse said that they are patechiae due to low platelet count (which I had both times that they appeared) and checking on them that sounds exactly right.

The onc manages the major dangerous stuff but the chemo nurses know more about keeping you comfortable and explaining minor little things. My onc will even tell me to ask the chemo nurses about some things.
