Happ Grandma, lovely baby!

Mazel tov, ducky! Gordy was exactly that weight & length (a month early), and had just as much hair—only his was deep copper-red. (His hair is almost black now).

What gorgeous pictures from a happy grandma. I do hope he next one is a boy. Chuckling about he recital and your viewpoints. I am on Dh's computer. Mine is in the workshop with a virus I think. We are not sure. Didn't know that my "geek" contract had run out ( they apparently didn't check mark our name for a notice when we got close ) so we signed back on but in order to deal with computer took it to the shop here. I'm having major withdrawals, but will have to keep going. I will see you all later.

Sorry as I have no quote yet. Still working on computer issues and thinking now a new computer is in my immediate future. The a/c unit is being put in today so there is that to look forward to and maybe will help the "pain" of having to spring for a new computer. I have resisted because for the most part you pretty much have to take what is available and that will be Windows 10. I've not wanted to learn something new --- but maybe should look on it as a big adventure and stop obsessing about 'getting' along with it.
There were things I could no longer do on my old computer ( which didn't seem that old to me ) and though I will have to re-learn --- it would be nice to be able to post pictures and memes again which I've not been able to do for awhile. So, saying hi and hoping you all are doing well. I hope to be posting from my OWN computer some time late today -- if I can get all the set-up in place.
See you all later.

A new computer sounds like a plan......my kids swear by Imac ;computers......they have never gotten a virus or have any problems w;ith them.....they; are more expensive then HP, Dell, and the others....but in the long run they are worth it....and Apple really does stand by their products........
I have an Apple IPad Pro, and love it.......I would like to get the IMAC "all in one" whcih is around $1,000 but it is 2 wires, and everything else is right in the system......speakers etc, and everything is wireless..........just have to get to the store to buy it......my Ipad is the 12.9, and it is like a laptop......bt it is an Ipad.........I use a Zagg keyboard which I love.......consider checking it out

Bobby and his new little sister......she came home today.....he's looking like "OK, WHEN DOES SHE GO BACK".

Ducky, Ive had Apples for ever. Had something else at work, before I retired, during report time if there was one of us cussing at the computer, there were 6 , doing the hollering at theirs too! Apples are not only reliable , but so much easier to use! I'm all for simple!

Hello from Minnesota where the weather has heated up. High 80's today. Darn that southern wind.
We went out on the lake for the first time this morning. It was lovely. A huge eagle soared overhead and we spotted a deer along the shore, also saw some loons diving for their groceries.
I caught a fish that resembles a catfish, a bullhead, I think it's called.
Jackie, you won't have any problem with Windows 10.
Enjoy the new arrival, Ducky.
Happy Friday to all

Here I am and you are right --- I'm not having too many problems with Windows 10 --- but it seemed to have taken hours of calls to get Outlook Express back in and my email. I've got some adjustments to make -- couldn't bring over anything yet from my old computer. I have a cousin who is a whiz and I may see if he can run over some time and give me a hand.
My router doesn't want o hold its connection --- maybe it needs updating or something. Have to see about that later. Nice to have something that works again though -- Yay -- so see you all soon. Busy doing a lot of deleting. I had acquired 4000 emails in the time it took to work with the old computer, give up and go out and buy the new one.

People who take the risk make a tremendous
discovery: The more things you care about, and the more intensely you
care, the more alive you are. This capacity for caring can illuminate any
relationship: marriage, family, friendships--even the ties of affection
that often join humans and animals. Each of us is born with some of it,
but whether we let it expand or diminish is largely up to us. To care,
you have to surrender the armor of indifference. You have to be willing
to act, to make the first move. -Arthur Gordon -
Jackie, I also have Windows 10.... Make sure you always install their updates when they prompt you.... I also have Norton, as my virus program.... Never had any problems. I know AOL is the worst browser there is, but I still use it, because I'm so used to it. I also use Chrome or "Edge".... It used to be Internet Explorer.
I saw my screen "blocked" a couple times.... That "ransom-ware" malware, was trying to get in.... For a few seconds, I could not do anything.... Everything froze! THEN this porn-site came on!!! I thought OMG, If my Husband sees THIS he will think I watch Porn all day! I just finally got it all shut down, and talked by "chat" to Norton, and the Tech went all through my computer, as I watched him on the screen.... Everything works fine since....
But since that hail we had, the phone lines were really screwed up! The Century Link guy spent 2 hours over here, either up on the utility pole in the alley, or in our house where the line comes in, or in the cubby-hole basement, in our attic, and up on our roof! FINALLY he figured out where the line came IN.... Had to replace the line from the pole in the alley, into our yard, up over out fence, down to our house on the outside of our basement... Drilled a hole through the basement wall, saw "light".... installed a new box & finally connected it to the wire in the house! And the static was GONE! All the rain & hail damaged the line.... and we didn't have to pay.
My router/modem is also connected to the phone line, with my computer.... And I WAS having trouble with that. But once the phone line was replaced, everything works great. And no more porn..... Hah!
The Norton guy said "try and bring up the last site you were on when your computer froze.... "..... Well I did, and sure-nuff, that porn site was back on!!! I nearly died! I typed "sorry about that".... But he shut that off, and said "no problems"...."I will fix everything".... First time I almost ever watched porn with a guy....
Edited to add........ Just first time I ever saw.... oh never mind.

Sunny,
Send me an email. I don't have my contacts from the other computer yet. That is discouraging -- but I'll keep going because well, no choice. So far I'm sort of not getting things done that I'd like. I may have to call the computer geek squad again. I'm sure they are sick of hearing from me, but then they were that from the old computer as several tried their hand and no go. I don't like the fonts so far and they don't seem to change even though I've gone in like always. It doesn't seem to work and so not sure why it is there --- sigh !!!! Just why I was resistive to having to get another computer. I can see 10 is simpler and cleaner --- maybe too clean for me but I will get there. Will be a lot happier when I can get ( if possible ) my favorites, pictures and address book from the other computer.
Denny has the transfer cable -- just has to hook up his computer in here and then we can hopefully do it.
Anyway, I'm off and running for now. I will say --- with this computer I'm back to the tool bar we had some time back on this blog -- where it shows a picture and you use that and the square eyes next to it to drop pictures in here. Something else for me to relearn. Well, I guess an young dog can learn new tricks -- especially if it was learned once before. Fingers crossed.
BIL who had the heart attack is now in the nursing home here in town -- The Manor. Not sure how long he will be there but I'm sure it is for the rehab therapy. He is rather miserable. Has stitches everywhere from vein removal to replace the plaque filled ones entering and leaving his heart. No smoking again ever for him --- if he knows what is good for him. Sad thing. He might have done much better with the plague had he been active but he does next to nothing and plaque is sticky and loves nothing better than as much as can settling in one place if you don't move your blood supply around heartily now and then.
Anyway -- looking for a note from you soon --- I can't remember addys. I just went in typed the first few letters and viola' from the contacts list --- the person I wrote would automatically show up.

Coming late today. Busy morning followed by going to Walmart. What would we do without that store --- and yes I don't know but would be willing to try. We lost our K-Mart and always thought it was from Walmart being so close to it. There is still a K-Mart but you have to drive the 20 miles to Mt. Vernon. We don't go often but if we have reason to go to Mt. Vernon at all we try to fit in a stop there too. I got up late this morning so felt everything had backed up a bit --- and I didn't get out here to my computer.
It is raining ( no heavy pour downs as yet ) so good thing I skipped the car wash. Also great that we finally have the A/C unit to the furnace going. Hard to believe how small the outside condenser unit is. It is staying really nice inside. We have it on 78 I think and it feels great. Much work though and you would heat up a bit. Dh is usually cooler than me so I've learned to adjust to having it a bit warmer inside.
We do have a bit of a bonus -- the 4 inch big pad that the old outdoor HVAC sat on now has a lot of room where I can set potted plants -- or anything I'd like that is decorative. Going to think about that for awhile. I may come up with something.
I hope you are all going to have a great Sunday. Hope you will be able to enjoy your weather too.
-
The weekenders have enjoyed the sunny hot weather yesterday and today. The young owner of the resort (campground) arrived today and will be here next week. He's a whirlwind of energy and will be doing projects. So there go my hopes of playing golf and bicycling for fun. Dh will feel obligated to pitch in and help.
Jackie, I hope you get your computer set up to your liking soon. I use my phone more than my new laptop.
Happy Sunday.

My granddaughter and me today at her spring dance recital

What a sweet looking grand-daughter you have Puffin. You are wearing the same colors accessorized with great smiles. Great picture.
-
Count your blessings.
Once you realize how valuable you are
and how much you have going for you,
the smiles will return, the sun will break out,
the music will play, and you will finally
be able to move forward the life that God intended
for you with grace, strength, courage, and confidence.

What a beautiful young lady, puffin! I don't know about you, but I find inspiration in my little guy (13 months old).

Love all the grandkid photos!

I am back home in FL. We all flew home Sat afternoon. And, as on the way up, I had one grandchild on each side, and the baby on my lap. Mom was in the seat across the aisle. The baby (15 mos old) became very attached to me while we were away. She is such a doll baby, I loved every minute. One morning, as I was coming out of the bedroom, she saw me, started running to me then turned around and ran to my chair and looked at me while she patted the chair- very clearly saying "Come sit down here- I've been waiting for you." Then, you should have seen her face when my DD was sitting in "my" chair and I sat somewhere else.
I had talked to my son before the trip about the possibility of his almost 4 yr old having a "sleepover" with me and my 8yr old grandson while we were in the same house. I told my son that I didn't really expect Lucia to stay with me all night, I was hoping we could watch some TV together, and as I said it was time to turn off all the lights and go to sleep, I fully expected Lu to say she wanted Mommy and Daddy. We set the plan tentatively for Sun nite, after the graduation. Her mom heard us talking, and was very upset, saying Lu only sleeps with Mommy and Daddy. She was so upset that when we got home from the graduation, all the kids, including Lu and Kayden, were already in bed. I have never known Lu to be in bed that early.
My son arrived the same day we got home to set up the summer camp, and said they had had a big fight before he left. He told her he was going to fly home, get Lu and bring her here for 2 weeks- she is old enough for camp. His wife said there was no way she could be away from Lu for two weeks- his response was then why she thought it was okay for him to be away from the girls for 10 weeks. She called him while he was driving down and told him she would head down on Sun and stay for the whole summer. He replied that there was no way the 4 of them could stay at her Mom's that long ( her mom lives in a very small condo. I am not sure how this will all turn out.
I bought a new laptop shortly before Christmas and have used it maybe 10 times- usually when I need to print something. Everything else I do on my iPad. I used a Mac at the school I worked at, but have always used Apple at home.
Here's a picture of my little buddy

Adorable -- I'll just three just like your buddy.

If a person be gracious and courteous to strangers,
it shows that one is a citizen of the world, and that
one's heart is no island cut off from other lands,
but a continent that joins to them.

Nice pictures of grandchildren. Thanks for sharing.
I have this beautiful small laptop that I haven't used much because I end up checking bc.org, e-mail, and facebook on my phone, out on the deck or wherever I happen to be.
This morning I went to the gym on my own since dh was helping the resort owner do some jobs. I enjoyed my workout and admired some young women who were running on the treadmills. They looked so sleek and fit. Ok, I admit I felt a little envy! Especially for their smooth young skin. With the lack of estrogen in my body, my skin on arms and legs has a liberal sprinkling of age spots.
Afterwards I went to a very nice supermarket for lemons and spent $52. No, the lemons weren't that expensive! I indulged in some browsing and ended up with a number of items in my basket. On the way out, I stopped at the coffee shop and treated myself to a latte to sip on the way home.
This afternoon I plan to go to a WW meeting in Walker, a town located 28 miles from our nearest little town of Park Rapids, which has no WW meeting. And Walker only had this one meeting at 5:30 on Tuesdays. At least that's the information I got from the WW site. I may travel to Walker and find there isn't a meeting. DH is going with me and we'll have our evening meal at a restaurant in Walker, which is more popular with tourists than Park Rapids because of the location on large Leech Lake.
Happy Tuesday to all.
