((((((((Sandy)))))))) I have no words of wisdom - just hugs.
Hope you get an electrician soon, Linda.

You're a great Mom too, Ducky!
I am one of 5. My parents are well off. My parents made us all work during HS and College. 1/2 of what we made was given to them. When I went to college, my dad made me take out student loans for 2500.00 a year. He paid for all the college stuff but I was responsible for paying back the student loans to him. When I finally made my last payment, my dad gave me a check for all the money that I have repaid, the student loans, and 1/2 of the money I earned in HS and College. It was a great lesson for me. He built up my credit, and also a saving account I didn't know about. Sure came in handy! Of course at the time, I was not too happy to be giving my dad 1/2 of my paycheck!

Thanks Linda not so sure about that, but I am grateful for the friends I have....
Unfortunatelly, I can't "make" my kids do anything, tell them to do stuff and they say no...My older kids are so responsible, they all have jobs, take care of their families....it is the twins that are diffferent, it is the generation of ME ME ME, that is the way the kids are these days, want things handed to them, I didn't give them whatever they wanted, my daughter did....doesn't now...she underminded my parental authority over the years, and finally stopped, but the damage is done....she finally took their phones away shut them off and they haven't had them in a month and told them they can put them in their names when they are 18.....
They are going to be lost in June when I have to move cause I can't afford to live here and they are out of high school and they have pissed off the siblings which is where I guess they were moving....I will be getting an apt. alone without them, looking forward to cleaning up after myself that is it....sounds harsh but trust me I need to be alone and take care of myself and not be abused and for now am stuck here with them, have called the police on them and they wouldn't do anything cause they were under 18, now if they hit me police are called and they are gone!!! They actually went to school today, imagine that.....
enough, going food shopping at Target, and going to Kohl's, what is everybody doing today....
-
Wow, Linda. That's awesome that he did that for you.
-
Sandy - sorry your daughter undermined you like that. Maybe now that she has seen the light and has stopped giving them things, maybe they will realize they need to get off their butts and start doing things. Glad they went to school. Maybe the light will go on for them too and they will change their behavior. It will be nice for you to be able to take care of you for a change and that the police will be able to take action if your boys are violent. I hope that knowledge helps them to control themselves.
Have fun shopping!
-
Sandy.................I shop at Target (the one on 420) almost every Thursday with my daughter, usually after we go to BJ's............that is a ritual we have, and I do look forward to it each week................I would not be surprised if I passed you in the aisles one day, but would not know you.....
Was in Kohl's the other night with my youngest grandaughter..........her birthday is Dec. 14th, and I wanted to buy her a Pandora bracelet..............she insisted she wanted the one called .......Individuality .............it is sold at Kohl's.......................I thought Pandora was a very good one, and if she was going to continue adding charms, it would be a nice piece, but she insisted on the other.
It is a very good bracelet, but maybe I am acting like a "name dropper", so she got what she wanted............which was the right thing to do......her MOm agreed.........she said "Mom she changes her mind like she changes her underwear, so don't spend a fortune on a bracelet............It is not cheap...I think I'm up to $140.00 by now with the bracelet, and just a few charms.......either way, she was thrilled, and that is what matters................
Sandy please take care of yourself, and do not let those kids "bully" you. I am scared for y;our safety ..............you need to have a place for "just you"..................I am just shocked that they devalue you so much, especially knowing what you have, and are still going through........and your daughter was no help either.................they should go live with her...............
-
(((((TOL)))))
It was a very lazyday raining, humidity.......I couldn't move too much.

Glad you are clean!
-
NO Spam PM here.
-
-
lol.
What do I get the GF for Christmas? What are 16 y.o. girls interested in, besides my son?
-
Do you mean from the heart???????????
or to be nice??????????
-
Dah!! To be nice. The heart I will have to work on!
-
One way ticket to................
-
Sorry linda that was mean.
Maybe a cute top or a GCertificate.........
-
I'm watching Michael Buble's Christmas special.
he is such a nice guy. how come i never heard his name before.
He is singing I'll be home for Christmas I feel sad

-
NO, NOT MEAN!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Lol Linda, if she has an Ipod, then a Ipod gift card.....a gift card to a clothing store....did you ask your son?
Thanks I am fine, unfortunately my older children are no help. My son was here tonight and just shakes his head when they tell me to shut up, etc.....not talking about it anymore, sorry..
Thanks Ducky, I don't look like my profile pix anymore....
-
Linda - get her some Juicy Couture earrings or necklace. Or the Kate Spade mittens at Nordstrom.
So as of today, the cabinets are painted and the floors are installed. It looks so warm (patting self on back) - considering I am winging it. Next is trim and molding installation, then painting of those, then wall paint and then we can GO HOME. It's looking like Dec 23rd!!! I don't care how close it is to the holiday, if it can be done, I am going to GO HOME. Can't take much more of the black rental.
-
Good for you Diane!!!
Not sure she is the Kate Spade type. My 23 y.o SIL loves Kate Spade. She likes Vera Bradley. I'll figure it out.
LOL Sandy, I'd ask my son but he hates speaking to me! -
Diane...that will be such an exciting Christmas for you.

Good night (((TOL)))

-
The Kate Spade mittens are not consistent with her other items, I bought the taxi mittens for my god-daughter in NYC.
During zone out time tonight, we were watching Michael Buble Christmas. What is wrong with me that I dont get Justin Beiber wearing his pants and belt below his bum.
-
I love Justin Beiber and it pisses my boys off. They make fun of him. I loved the Christmas special and his songs. I DVR'd it so I can play it again when I need the boys to scramble! LOL. Productive parenting!
Diane, my DH is so with you on the pants. He is constantly telling my kids and their friends to pull them up. I could care less, at least they have pants on.
-
I don't mind the pants as long as they don't show clevage.
-
Linda - that is a tactic I never considered! Brilliant

My DH thought JB seemed confused about his image - bowtie and white shirt and perfect hair on top and gang boy on the bottom.,
-
My DD finds it entertaining to watch them try to walk up the stairs with their pants like that.
My kids don't like Justin Beiber either.
-
Good Morning
I don't like Justin B either and never understood why he became so popular Sorry Linda.
It's MH day maybe I should discuss this with her. LOL
Talk to you later...........................
-
Good Luck today Sheila!
-
Justin B.........is a little on the odd side.................never really liked him.......possibly the "hairdo" in the beginning.........you know what they say about first impressions.
Now does anyone want to talk aboutt Scotty ........................now there is a subject I love discussing........what a sweetheart he is..........that young man can light up a room with his smile..............I told my kids I was going to adopt him.......................of course they think I'm a goof anyway...................I bought his first CD and it is excellent.................my grandchildren from the youngest to the oldest say....."you really like him don't you Nan".......................I laugh and say back ".I Love Him This Big"..................that always gets a laugh................
