Blue skies and sunshine here for now. Good Morning East Coasters!
Advice for today - don't buy a cheap tea kettle. The handle got so hot, I had to let it go on top of the stove which caused the little cap to open releasing steam on my inner arm. Got quite a burn, all bubbles and blisters. It is now wrapped and medicated and not too bad. Sadly, the wrap looks like the kind if you were to attempt suicide by cutting your wrists.
Today is start of a committed five days to paperwork, until it is done, even if it kills me. I have to update documents for my daughter's guardianship due to her disabilities which means I have to account for every thing I do.
And then, because life wasn't bad enough this past year, we had to file suit against our builder. Our home is not structurally sound enough to support the kitchen island, the weight of the tiles, etc. My whole first floor is cracked everywhere and has to be completely removed. We will need to move out for several months. It is a HUGE repair job with current estimates over 500K.
Yup, I am bummed today because I need to respond to all the discovery requests and that is a ton of work.
At times like this, I wish I had a mom to whine to! Since I don't you all have to hear it....sorry!
-
Blue skies and sun here too though the temp is only 33.Rain I don't blame you for whining. Is the builder still around so you can go after him for the cost? Or is he like so many of them--build a few substandard houses and disappear? Or worse, file bankruptcy and start all over under another name?
-
Diane are you okay/
I don't use this tea kettles always some kind of steam is coming out when you touch.
Sorry for your incident my friend.
Is it the side of your radiation?
I hope all the issues with the house will be fixed in time.
Lets SLAP the kettle, people who built the house and anything else you want to add to the list.
Peace and Hugs

Here in NY.

really windy here also.....don't know if he will learn anything, I know he never thought that I would do it, unfortunatelly I am getting a hard time from people that know b/c I did it....I know I did the right thing, people just me all the time for the decisions I make, daughter isn't talking to me again, whatever, I am so sick of the drama...it is so stressful....going to see Michael and then going to work tonight...I miss him, I don't miss the abusive, bullying, terrorist him, and I have forgotten what the real him was like, he is funny and sweet....hope he takes the tools that he is learning and bring them home and put them to use and teach George, just tired of getting hit and verbally abused and afraid for him that if it isn't taken care of now in December when he turns 18 then he will be gone to the criminal justice system and I might not be around to keep my influence with him. People want me to send him to my daughter's house cause that is where he wants to be and I don't want to let him go there, don't like how she acts, or how she is raising my grandchildren, her boyfriend/fiance, the things she tells him and how she under minds my parenting and he is still my son...

Chabba, the builder is around, living in his 16000 sf house with his lovely wife. They closed out the company the day I notified them about the problems and provided the report from the structural engineer. We filed suit over a year ago and our court date is not until late November. It has been a long haul.
I saw him at the bank recently and he just smirked at me. I saw his wife at the pharmacy during my chemo and she looked at me, laughed, and said I don't look like I have cancer. Nice people.
SO, SLAP, SLAP, SLAP THE JERK AND HIS XITCHY WIFE.
SLAP THE TEA KETTLE TOO!!
Sheila - the burn is on my left arm, so not my BC side. I am ok and it is not nearly as bad today as it was yesterday. Time heals wounds??
Actually, would ike to put the builder and his wife in Linda's tank with RPOC and others who deserve to be there, followed by an acid bath. There, I said it.
-
Actually, Diane, the builder belongs in jail as dose his wife. Based on her behavior she is an accomplice in his scam.
-
Windy here also and the temp is going down.
-
((((Diane))) What a bunch of ignorant people. I wish you the best of luck on this suit.
Go get them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
-
-
Slap aaway Diane. I think I know the pperfect place for those two.....underground in my front yard. I'll buy some more bleach, maybe amonia too.
-
Put 'em in the tank with an acid bath - sounds good to me. I hope you win big in your lawsuit. I can't begin to tell you how much I hate contractors. Can you sue for pain and suffering? Wipe those smirks off their faces.
(((((((((Diane))))))))))

Birthday party in the basement. DD is 17. Hard to believe.
Basement's not totally finished - still need to finish the trim and a door and get some cabinet to put our crap in, but it's getting there.
That wind is whippin' out there.
-
-
Love you guys!!! Had to have my DIL come over and help me organize everything for the discovery and interrogatories. I so needed a better understanding of the legalities etc.
You cannot sue for pain and suffering. I will win nothing more than repair costs. I can't even sue the city that gave him inspection approvals for some green.
In the meantime - all of the above words (thanks Deb) and SLAP SLAP
Saturday night at home....are we getting old?
