Ok, I am clueless as to how to do anything with pics on here, so just envision something, anything RED!!!
DD and her boyfriend are cooking dinner for us and his parents at my house tomorrow. Which means I am committed to major assistance. They just presented me the menu........I told him he better get here at 9 a.m. if they want to do all that. They are now rethinking the menu.
Went to dinner in the big city with DS and DIL last night. Something special occurred - my son picked up the check! Maybe he is an adult?
-
lol, no you just taught him well, congrats...you are very lucky!!!
-
-
Boy - you are all eager for Valentine's Day!
I finished off the bottle of white I started last Sunday... I don't know how long wine is good after it's opened. I don't know how long anything is good after it's opened. So I figured I'd better finish it...
Diane - lol - they are rethinking the menu. Starting at 9 am - must have been some fancy food they were fixin' to make for you. That's so nice that they want to do that. I hope it is a great success.
-
You can all thank me for this break in the weather. I have specifically NOT put away my snow pants and gloves and coat. If I do, we will surely have measureable snow that would require that I drag all that stuff out again to shovel. So, enjoy!
-
I'll be in work tomorrow so I figured I would say it now♥
-
Then I will join in and express my Happy Valentine's Day wishes too!
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥
-
Keep those snow pants out until June! I woke up today and it was 35!!! YAY!
Good Morning all, Happy Valentines Day!
-
LOL - will do. Snow piles are slowly shrinking. I hope the nice temps don't get carried away and cause flooding now.
Happy Valentine's Day!
-
HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY EVERYONE!!! Going to have another wind storm with heavy rains - woohoo, kind of hope to lose power for an hour or so, after dinner of course.....
-
-
I'll say it again.
-
SHeilas been awful quiet today. The BBB must be keeping her real busy!

I was walking and walking all afternoon in the high wind.
This morning My Valentine called and wanted to know if i wanted bagel with vegetable cream cheese. I SAID YES. Stayed for a while and left. I was happy.
This afternoon S&S gave me a bottle of white ZIN. This is the second time...............
We had a very bad fire one of the 100 year old churches on Main Street burned down.
They had to evacuate lot of areas and traffic was closed to certain areas.
Since the snow is melting I'm seeing disgusting things like dog S**T all melted in the snow.......
For dinner i only had a half bagel, yogurt and 3 kiwis.
to be continued..................................................♥

S&S?? Stop and Shop? Are they giving away white zin?
-
Can't buy any type of alcohol at grocery stores in MA like S&S, Market Basket, Hanafords, Star Market or Shaws unless you go to NH.
-
I can buy beer and wine at my SHaws in MA. Not many do but luckily the one in the next town sells it. We do not have any stores in the town I live in.
-
This wine selling started recently.
S&S overcharged the price.
By their rules they have to refund the money.
they are so brainless. nobody taking the sale price down even when its not on sale.
Beer we always bought from Supermarket.
On Sundays they cant sell alcoholic beverages before noon.
Is this religious rule are for the entire country or just NY?
-
Washington used to have "blue" laws. No beer and wine sales on Sundays, no bars or taverns open until afternoon. Those laws were repealed at least 30 years ago I think. Bottle sales of hard liquor are allowed only in State stores even today. They are closed on Sundays.
Edited to add...Alcohol sales were also restricted on General election day.
-
I don't even know what package store hours are in CT anymore. I thought they extended them several years ago, but then I think the stores decided it wasn't worth staying open those hours. Last I knew alcohol sales had to stop at 8pm and weren't allowed on Sundays. I'll have to see if they are open 'til 9 and on Sundays now.
I had some excitement this afternoon. After going to the grocery store - and finding it was HOT out - I left the inside front door open after I brought in the groceries. A short time later, I went toward the door - I don't even remember why - to close it maybe? And I saw something I haven't seen in a long time. I said - Oh my God! Oh my God! Bambi! And ran as fast as I could to get my camera. Didn't think I could run that fast. 3 deer were across the street. Unfortunately they were behind some trees, so I didn't get good pictures - I'll have to see if I can zoom in on them. Then I spooked them - or something did - and they went bounding down the street from whence they came. Which I think might be a good thing - they might have been hit by a car if they kept going in the direction they were headed. Stupid camera takes so long to get ready to take the next pic i didn't get a good shot of them running away. I got one pic - but the deer's head was behind the basketball hoop pole - bummer. I'll have to see if I can post a pic tomorrow.
We used to get deer in our backyard when we first moved in 17 yrs ago, but then they cut down the trees behind us to build 2 houses and then 5 yrs ago, they cut down 22 of 39 acres of woodland and paved over wetlands to build a Kohl's. Grrrr. So I don't really see deer anymore. Until today.

So tired. Long day. FIL came home from hospital. Hope things go better this time than a week ago...
Hope your dad is doing better Deb. Hope dinner went well, Diane. Are you enjoying your zin, Sheila?
Happy rest of Valentine's Day, Ladies.
