Thinking Out Loud.....

Do they help clean up when time to go home? Getting messy should be part of being a kid.
-
kbug & I posted the same time.
-
Sheila, loved your story. I hate when people ridicule people because they are different. One of my neighbors is autistic and I include him in everything we do. All of my kids friends know him and understand when they are here, he is part of the picture. I think they have all lerned a lot from him!
Kbug, YES!!! They definitely help clean up! We put loud music on and 'go crazy cleaning'. I try to make the cleaning fun too.
-
Linda... I loved your story even more. Once I babysat one of my neigh boors year old . She was born with Down Syndrome. I think the mother was more surprised when I said Ill do it. If we all came together all the time the world would've been a better place. Unfortunately for now its just a dream and sometimes I get mad at the situations.
At least I vacuumed this afternoon. Maybe I should make a nice cup of tea to warm up.
-
Have some tea and warm up. I'm getting irritated with my laptop!! My "A" key is broken so I am misspelling alot of words. Sorry!
I agree with you so much, if we all worked together, helped each other out, the world would be pretty darn good! I love to help people but have learned over the years to be careful. Unfortunately, people take advantage of you.
Still raining here. Yankees kicked the Red Soxs butts, now we are on to the Patriots. They are doing well so far.
-
I made myself a tasty Orange-Tangerine Zinger herbal tea. Icicles started to melt.
-
Sounds delicious!
-
MMMMM pass the tea sounds real good. I try hard to teach my grands to clean up after themselves.
-
Sometimes it's more messy after they've 'cleaned up'. At least they try.
-
My oldest grand will help vaccum even here anyways. lol Jordan will help clean up also. They keep me going. They are the most encouraging.
-
Linda....Are the schools open tomorrow where you are?
I think it really got warmer outside. I no longer have icicles hanging through my nose lol
Did you all go to bed already or chilling? Watched Army Wives on Lifetime as much as I'm against the war I have great respect to our soldiers. I love watching this show because its all about military life and families.
kbug...Are your little helpers staying with you tonight?
-
Sleep Well my sisters.
Good Night
-
no grands went home tonight. I will go to bed soon.
-
Some school are open, my kids schools are. There are a few towns near us that are predominantly Jewish communities, and they are off.
-
Just a quick good morning to all. Now I really have plenty to do today
-
I just made chicken soup. One pot for me, one for DH and kids. They won't eat spinach or orzo, so I make two different kinds. That will be dinner tonight.
-
mmm soup. I have never had orzo. What does it tatse like?
It was in 80s here today went out for awhile and soaked up sun and reading a book. I have had trouble putting down. It is called GOD SAID YES.
-
Orzo is a pasta that is small and shaped like rice. It is used in a lot of Italian recipes.
Enjoy your book!
-
Chicken soup with Orzo can it get any better than that!!!!!!!!
I always use Orzo with my chicken soup too.
Kbug....It doesn't really have a different taste than any other pasta product. It fills you up faster than if you used noodles or something else. Try it you like it. Has an adorable shape.
It was a summery day here too. Now, its pouring i forgot to close the bedroom windows so my night table and the lamp took a little bath. I have to make sure I don't use the lamp just in case maybe the light bulb got wet too.

Saw my oncologist today, she wants to see me in 4 months, I wonder why? Check up was normal. Did some blood work to check my Vit D level.
I said to her the I thought it would go to a year like all my appts. mammo and breast surgeon.
She said she wants to see me every 4 to 6 months until my 5 year mark.
She is making it very hard for me to change doctors closer to my home.
-
Soup was delicious. Plenty of left overs too.
Deb, my Onc wants to see me every 3 months. Ihave been doing this for about a year now. I will see her next week and am now curious to see if she will want to see me less often. My Onc is not in Boston, so I don't have to travel to the city. She does work for BI in Boston but has office hours in Needham. I don't mind the drive to Needham at all. How far away is your Onc?
-
Linda & Deb....The beginning I saw him every 3 months I was still on Herceptin. Then he started seeing me every 4 months. I think it was 2 years after my DX he told me I didn't really have to go every 4 Months of course I wasn't very happy, and he forgot all about what he said, so I have an app the first week in November, next one will be March 2010. After that will be once a year.
Do you get that cancer tumor marker blood work when you go. I heard some oncologists don't really depend on it .
-
I don't have the tumor marker blood work done, they really don't do anything except ask how I am. Should I ask for specific tests? I want to ask for the test to see how I metabolize tamoxifen. I want to make sure it's working.
-
I finished the book. Been a long time since read one I wanted to finish before I put it down.
-
They dont do any blood work at all?
You think before they discharge me in March I should ask for bone scan
Each DR do things different. Some they send you to MRI or chest xray. I dont know if we really need all that stuff. But you can always ask.

It takes my 30mins if traffic is good. I work in Westford, my onco is in Stoneham, my mammos are done at the Breast Care Center in Woburn and that is were my BS is also. My PCP is in North Reading, that is were I used to live b 4 I moved to Chelmsford. It would be alot easier if I were to fine a PCP and the other doctors in Chelmsford and I would go to Lowell General.
-
We all need to laugh more and show others we are winners. No matter where we are in this battle or stage.
-
Deb, That's a lot of running around. Good luck.
Good Morning Ladies!
-
Good morning ladies. I have errands to run in awhile.. ggrrrr lol
