HAPPY EASTER SATURDAY!
Sandy, I think it is a shame that they are treating you like that. When I was younger DH, DD and I would alternate Holidays and that did not seem to bother my mom. I miss her terribly. She loved holidays. I wish you lived closer, I would want you to have dinner with us.
-
Tomorrow I am making Garlic Roasted Asparagus for 10. How many bunches should I buy?????
-
Happy sunny Easter Eve Saturday Day
how is everybody today?
Im starting to smell some cooking coming down from MA.
Sandy...Sorry about the family issues. But like Deb said Holidays should be alternated between both side of the families.
Linda....Are you gonna go to the beach next week? 4 more days and counting.........
Deb....Any leftovers can be shipped to NY.
-
Sheila♥
-
I would guess 3 bunches, Deb.
Calzones are in the oven, will make cookies later. I want to get back outside. I went for a short motorcycle ride while my son was at baseball practice. Doing yard work while calzones are cooking and then I hope to go on another ride.
Smells heavenly here!
-
I will buy 3 bunches, thanks. I will make my cheese cake later right now I'm doing alittle cleaning and will pick up sticks in the front yard, it's messy out there. Then I'll go to the grocery store to pick up veggies.
-
-
I can smell the calzones.
I bought two bunches of Asparagas just for me. They were 99 cent a bunch.
Do you think I have enough?
Little cool today. I only took 1 walk.
Feel sleepy. Chirping birds on the tree in front of my bedroom woke me up at 6 this morning. They were annoying that early.
Nothing exciting to report.
Christine called she is making 2 trays of lasagna 1 with meat 1 with cheese.
They are going to their friends house tomorrow.
Other DD is working tomorrow.
-
Will you see DD (what is her name??) after work?
-
She will be working late. Its Easter Dinner .
Natalie. (her name)
-
Have a wonderful holiday all......eat well!!
-
Oh yes!! Now I remember!! I knew that I knew her name, I just couldn't think of it..... and I LOVE the name Natalie!!
I'll be thinking of you and Sandy this Easter. I wish we all lived closer together so you could come and celebrate with us.
-
linda...You are a good person and friend.
Do you make your own dough for the calzones?
And the ham deb is making. i love ham more than turkey.
Okay time for some cranberry juice.
I still have the corned beef, didnt have a chance to cook it yet
Hi Sandy.
-
Thank you!!
I used to but mow I cheat. Nobody can tell the difference, so why bother!!
Why don't you make the corned beef tomorrow? Share it with Natalie.....maybe a little asparagus too!
-
I was thinking to do that.
By the time she finishes probably will be after 11.
-
What does she do for work?
-
She was a sous chef for 4 years for Westchester Country Club. Bread and pastry.
Now she does work privately to 2 families. Summertime they rent a home at the Hamptons.
She goes with them and stays in the guest house.
She also does private caterings and parties. This is the busy time now,.
-
What a fun job!!
-
Its a hard job. She loves to cook and make fancy stuff.
But she will also be very good if she can have her own catering and other people work for her.
She is very organized and business type woman. She used to organize parties for 200 people or more. Can you tell I love her and Im very proud of her.
Im proud both of my girls.
-
I know you are, as you should be!
I'm going to get to bed. I'm tired tonight! Too much fooling around today!
Have a great night.
XOXO
Linda

Good evening all hope you all had a wonderful day, I decided to go down the shore to my friends' trailer... Older kids it appeared didn't want to spend the day with me, told my daughter not to bother calling me and twins didn't want to be with me either, so off I went with my friends' car to check on her place....it was awesome and what did I do on Easter Sunday, raked leaves, and got sun burned, love it......stayed about 2 hours.....went and got dairy queen....at 330 my oldest texted me asking if I wanted to go to dinner his treat, I declined by text....my grandaughter left me voice mail saying happy easter but never heard from the others......I am going away from tuesday through friday afternoon....it will be awesome, nobody will yell at me, I won't have to tell people to feed the dogs, clean up after yourselves or anything....very excited and as I said before, I get respected and talked to like I am a human being......ANYWAY.....hope you all had a WONDERFUL day.......having back spasms, not sure why.....am still feeling like I am going to throw up.....phone calls to drs. tomorrow I guesss

And that was my day.
Almost summer like temperatures.
