STOMACH DISTENSION AFTER FREE FLAP

I am 3 years after free flap where they took tummy fat and a bit of muscle to rebuild my breast.  My stomach has distended significantly on the side the muscle was taken such that they CAT scanned me to rule out a hernia.  No hernia, just my guts pushing out.  First surgeon said she would not repair it as it would just stretch out again.  Second opinion is scheduled.  Has anyone had this problem and how did you address it please?  I gave up girdles in the 70's and hate the thought of going back to one.  Thanks!
