When I was little my mom and I would make frosted & deocorated heart-shaped refrigerator cookies to bring to my class at school. I did the same with DS when he was a boy, so that is a pretty special Valentines Day memory.

Ruth you didn't put a question down so I will answer My favorite Valentine's Day memory, which is my Father coming home with one extremely large box of candy and three a little smaller boxes of candy and cards, and he always played my parents favorite song and danced with my mother. They got engaged on Valentines Day. When my youngest child who is 21 today was born on Valentine's Day my father was so happy and tearful. She got so many special treats from my dad I can't name them all. Valentine's Day was always a day filled with love and laughter in our home.

My first best friend and one our most fond memories….
-
I met my best friend when we were young teachers. When we are together we have this strange, quirky sense of humor (that nobody else gets). Last summer when we got together, we were still talking about the time about 38 years ago when we were on a vacation together and staying at her sister's house. It was really late at night and we were laughing hysterically over a dumb 'fish joke' ( which is not actually funny and way too long to explain). Her sister got so mad that she stomped out of the room and slammed the door behind her....which, of course, made us laugh even harder. (I am glad to report that her sister now thinks that I'm okay, although I do try to behave myself if I am around her
).
That was fun, lets do it again.....a fond memory I have with a best friend is.....
