Hey Coonie,
What's an avatar? I can't figure out how to change the stuff on the bottom of the post to show the first dx in '06. I go to 'My Home' and there are a bunch of little circles that you fill in. I couldn't find anywhere to put both incidences. Am I really stupid?
-
The avatar is a pic, either of yourself or something else that you put in the box to the left of your postings, underneath your name. When you go to "My home" and click edit avatar you can place a pic there that will show up here... I'm not sure about how to add the other comments Sun...
-
Sunkist...it's really easy once you figure it out. Just go to My home and click on Edit Diagnosis. Just go through the questions and answer all of them. When you get to the bottom it will ask you to save and if you want your information made public. If you do, just say yes, Be sure and click save.
Then, if you want to add more above your line, you need to go back to My Home and Edit Profile that gives you the space to write out what you've been through, etc.... Once you get started, you'll understand how it works. Good luck!!!!!
Adding an avatar is easy too. You go to Edit or Add Photo for the avatar and if you have saved pics of yourself in the computer or cute pics of animals or anything, just hit browse and you'll be able to select what you want as your avatar. and hit save. Just PM me if you have any more questions.

Thanks Coonie,
I felt like such a ditz! I'm going to try to find a cute pic of one of my fostered kittens. Or maybe one of my two girls, Emily & Cinder. I think I actually have one of them laying on the bed together in a rare moment. I'll see what I have.

Arnie - I wish my flowers looked like that! They kind of look pathetic right now. They need to get rooted. Still praying for no frost! I also planted tomato, eggplant, red and green peppers. It's way too early so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I have a week of dreary weather headed my way,but no frost in the forecast.
Corn on the cob sounds great! I can't get any of that here yet! Last year I grew my own. It's a lot of work and takes up a lot of space. This year I'm buying my at the local farm! Can't wait!
-
mmmmmmmmmmmm......corn on the cob...still lickin' my chops. Off season we get it from Schwann's food truck.. During season we get at a local farm market too. Sooooo good!
Mmmmm.eggplant, dh doesn't like it but I love it! We'll pray the frost stays away from you Makraz

Been working in the yard all day and this is what I did when I came inside. REALLY!! It's already scorcing weather here in the south.......... uuuggghhhh

Hey Arnie........yeah......I worked HARD! I planted some lantana in my big cast iron pot, put some petunias in three other pots and washed my back porch off with the water hose.
But my flowers are gonna be so purdy.......
-
You gotta deal Arnie!! I can't wait to see the old plow! I've been wondering what to do with an old wood screen door that my DH just got off his grandparents VERY old house. It's one of those that slams and goes ca-BLAM. I would love to tie it in somehow with my flowers, etc., but not quite sure what to do with it. We've just got it in the storage room.
-
Hmmmmmmmmm...If I see any ideas I'll let you know... That sounds really cool!!!
When I was growing up...we lived in the country. My parents had a screened back door that had a little "window" in it that opened. After they both passed on and we were getting the house ready to sell, my sister-in-law whose very crafty took that screen door. She had an old curio cabinet and put that screen door on it and restained the whole thing. It sits in her great room, and all of us kids love to see it when we go up there. Such precious memories...

Ideas for Recycling Old Screen Doors and Windows Outside:
Hang a screen door or window from a header on a porch to create a privacy screen. You can even have ivy grow up it.
Use a screen door in a high fence between friendly neighbors.
In place of a garden gate use a screened window.
Put an old screen door on a potting shed or outdoor building.
Add a shelf or window box on a screened window to display flowers on your porch or deck.
Paint or stencil on a screen of an old door or window, using outdoor paint. Set in a garden.
Use as a drying rack by your swimming pool for bathing suits and towels.
Hang a window in a potting shed over your potting area. Screw in some coffee cup hooks along the wooden frame for your potting tools. On the screen you can put a few 'S' hooks to hang some lightweight items like gloves.
Add some lattice on a screen door and attach to a shed or post to use as a trellis. Roses look great on this. -

Hey Arnie......thanks for the screen door ideas. I really want to put it to use somehow. Did I tell you that I planted lantana in my cast iron pot yesterday. When they start growing some, I'll take a pic and post it. I just love getting my hands in the dirt......heheh lol
