Prayers for Teresa!
-
Teresa,
I am joining your cheering squad. Hang in there, you have almost made it to the finish line. I understand you wanting to SCREAM right now I think we all do. Hey I have been miserable for the last few days because I have drains again....what a baby right? You have all the prayers and well wishes that I have coming your way. Make sure that you eat and allow yourself to relax tonight. This is about you getting well and feeling whole again, not about Christmas. A healthy you will be your family's best present. Now sleep tonight with a clear head and leave the worry for us here. We will take over for you with prayers that there is no infection and the foob stays in place. If for some reason it can not be we will rally around you. I know we have never met and probably never will but we are all connected by this hideous disease. Here is something that I hope will make you laugh....today I went back to work after only taking Friday and Monday off for my surgery and recovery. I was out on leave when I had my BMX so my coworkers never saw the drains. They were very curious to see them today and when I showed them they said, "it is not as bad as I thought it would be". Huh? Maybe if it was hanging out of the side of their body it would suck a little more!!! LOL They just don't get it that is why we have each other here.
Lots of love and Best wishes....Get em girl!

My surgery was at Harris Downtown, but exchange will be at the Ft.Worth Surgery Center on Rosedale. This is so great to find someone this close with so much of the situtation. I don't know why my dx doesn't show up when I post, but I''m or "was" ( not quite sure of the protocol for that one) ILC stage 2 er+/Pr+ Her2-, 0/7 on the nodes. From what I understand ILC is not quite as common as Ductual? Who knows we probably have some of the same doctors.
I'm encouraged about Allergans it sounds like they are the way to go.

Ain't it the truth Nene, they just don't get it.

Teresa - Your post brought tears to my eyes. My heart goes out to you. I am hoping that this nasty infection or swelling or whatever it is resolves quickly! Big HUGS!!!!!!
-
Laura sent me a text, telling me to come online and read. Well, you all have brought big tears and smiles to my face. I will sleep a little better and go in there tomorrow knowing you guys are all with me in spirit!
Thank you so much!

Thank you...for finally understanding. Yes! These two new ones feel foreign to me! I love teasing my co-workers & friends though by telling them at the end of the day, "Okay, I'm done with these now...can I put them on a shelf??!!!" LOL!!! The sports bra I have on today made my foobs feel more comfy today. I can't wait to get into a normal bra soon!
-
Uh oh. My incision on the radiated side just opened about 1/2" and is bleeding. It's 10 p.m. and I am waiting for my PS to call me back.

I have completed my expansion and am also looking forward to exchange-my PS waits 3 months after last fill so it'll be March before my exchange. Hoping the time goes by quickly for us both!

Surgery done today. My PS put in 550 cc's. He tried 600's but they were too high. I haven't tried to look at them except down my shirt. They look flat. I go in tomorrow to see the PS.

I'm back from the doctor. The implant was showing -- it had burst through the incision. So my PS is rushing me back into surgery today. I have to have both implants removed and go slightly smaller. God I just want all of this to be over.
-
Wonderful, wonderful news about Teresa!!!! Prayers do work.
Texas, did you go to the ER? Prayers for you as well. Take it easy, girl.
Went to the PS yesterday and he did not take out the stitches on my nipples. Just on the incisions from the flaps. So, I'm still bandaged, still no showers. Yuk
I go back in on Monday to get the rest of the stitches out. I have to say, the nips are chunky. PS is so excited about them and really hopes they won't flatten too much. He's the one that usually does the gortex "bullets" under the skin for the nipples. If mine behave, he said he might start doing flaps again.
Thoughts and prayers for every one having surgery this week and those that are having some problems and disappointments. It all works out in the end.

Wow ladies, I was only away for 24 hours, what a lot of posts. Theresa!!!! What great news, I got all of the bad news, then the good news during one sitting. Hang in there, I hope you are feeling tons better by Christmas.
Texas 357, I am so sorry for what you are going through, some ladies have "stuff" happen that isn't anticipated. I want you to have a good report and will keep you in good thoughts.
Wendy, You will be getting your exchange on the one year anniversary of my mx. This is a much happier occasion and I will celebrate you that day.
For the ladies having procedures this week, keeping you in good thoughts, thank you to those that let us know that they did well.

Teresa (Laura) what great news! Wa-hoo!!!!!!! Glad the prayers worked and the implant is safe
Texas -- SO sorry to hear that you've run into this complication. Such a bummer. I pray for a good result in the repair. Long term I am sure your foobs will be gorgeous!
Cheers to all!

Wonderful news about Teresa -- I'm SOOO happy she didn't lose the implant.
I'll be thinking of Texas today, as she has surgery to replace her implants. What a scare that must have been to have the incision open up!
My new implant is still soft. comfortable and looks much more natural than the first one. The scar is ugly after having been opened up 4 different times, but it will fade. I still have a lot of scar tissue under my arm that is uncomfortable, but don't know what, if anything, can or will be done about that.
Wishing everyone a great day...
