Beautifully said, Annie!! I'm especially enjoying picturing the nursing home scene...
Laura - I agree about these crazy low height TE's - I swear I had a guy staring at my chest the other day - and I can ABSOLUTELY say that has NEVER, EVER, EVER happened to me before - not to this formerly AAA girl! They'll be gone in 72 hours, though!!!!!
Leaving town soon for my f-i-l's memoria/celebration of life service tomorrow. Expecting 100 people from the tiny country town - all at my b-i-l's house. Hopefully we''ll be blessed with sunshine & no rain - something absent for over a week - and can put people outside. I'll check back in Sunday before the big day. I can hardly believe it's almost here! Frankly, I'm a nervous wreck, but lately what else is new?..................
-
LAURA: Holy cow! That is fantastic!!
-
malleme: I PM'd you...
-
((((Laura))))) Hugs.....Just because I think you need it....love ya!
-
malleme.. I am PMing you

Best wishes to next week's exchange sisters. It's your turn now!
9/21 - Val61 - Exchange surgery
9/25 - greytmom_17 - Exchange surgery on the left side
Way to go Laura - that is just so cool!
Annie - Well said my dear!
For those of you off to Los Vegas, have fun and let us all know how it goes.
I am off to Maine on vacation next week, so please gather up the dates and PM me at the end of the week. Right now I am very sick w/ a nasty bug, so hopefully that won't mess up our vacation plans.
Hugs. - Jean
-
Jean - you should meet up with Baxter - she lives in Maine!
-
Laura - God answers prayers!!
Deborah - I pm'd Timtam and will post pictures as soon as I can. It will be interesting for me to see how these babies compare with the others out there.
Swear that I am getting Stockholm Syndrome when it comes to the Dr's and nurses that are taking care of me . . . .
Take care, Colleen

Laura: I hate to say I told you so, but......there you go! He expects to tweak..it's part of the job. That is great news. Now you'll be happy and voluptuous..va va vooooooooom!!!!
Jan: I think this is my last fill. I'm going for the 550's...so we'll live with them for a while and see how they look, knowing they will be smaller when exchanged..thanks for asking. JUDY
-
You and Val were both right about the doctor thing Judy..:)... My PS is just so great.. I hated the idea of hurting his feelings too.. PLUS I was dealing with.. my own boob grief....
-
Laura: no PS hurt feelings. PS (good ones) want to please their patients. It's a strange world, with PS. It is the one discipline where pleasing the patient is primary. Since most of the time, these surgeons are not dealing with disease. In any case you get a big WAHOOOOOOO from me! JUDY

Deborah ~ Here are my stats.
32" around bra line below TE's (is that the right place?), 5'8" tall, 165 lbs, TE's are Integra Model #3611ES552-21 850 cc capacity.
I am currently filled to 680 and the last fill should get me to 760.
Thoughts please!?!
-
cnemeth: With a 32" ribcage, I think that the high profile silicone rounds in Mentor or Allergan would fit your frame best. I am not sure what your PS has in mind, although it sounds as though he will put you in an implant smaller than your TE's. I think that 700 cc's would be nice on you. The Allergan Style 20 in 700 cc's has a width of 14.5 cm and a projection of 6.2 cm. The 750 cc implant by Allergan has a 15.0 cm width and a 6.0 cm projection. You can see that the projection is actually better on the 700 cc implant. The key issue is this: You have the Integra implants which are not commonly used. There are no specifications/dimensions available. I know that they are lower height TE's - but I do not know the width. That would be key. Your PS is planning on a certain width for the implants. So please ask him questions about his plans for the exchange, because this is key. And find out if he uses Allergan or Mentor or both. Mentor's 700 cc implant is 14.8 cm wide by 5.8 cm in projection. I like the Allergan numbers better. 800 cc's is the largest size of implant available. Find out if this is the size he has planned for you. Confirm he is not planning to use saline.
Hope this helps...but we need clarification from your PS....b/c too little is known about your type of tissue expander.

oops: the goofy avatar has a reason...it is my kid sister and I at thankgiving, fighting over who gets to slice the cranberry jelly as we have done every year since I can remember.
We haven't done it in later years....but this thanksgiving we prayed and we thought that we'd promise each other that we'd be fighting each other over that stupid can of cranberry jelly for the next 50 years. She made me promise her.
So, when I am 103, with great knockers btw, I shall be fighting with my kid sister at thanksgiving.
And giving thanks!

Yay, Laura, I'm so happy for you!!!
Love--Karen

Laura - Sorry you have to have another surgery; but, it seems alot of women are requiring at least one revision. And, sounds like you will be getting some beautiful, new implants. You'll be looking hot! Are you having the surgery before or after Vegas?
-
Laura I am so happy for you.

Yay for bigger implants, Laura. I am happy for you and hoping your new foobies look fabulous!
-
Laura - that is wonderful!!!! I went for my 3 week check up after surgery and it seems my right one has dropped but my left one- not yet- he said do NOT worry it will happen - give it 3 months. I too have extra skin flaps under my arms and he said that is great because you will have extra skin from that to make your nipple with- no biggie- I will make it tighter and lipo if necessary. He likes to go under anest. for that. Has anyone done that and gone under local? I am contemplating it but he says it will be sore although it is numb now! Just curious if anyone has talked about that before on here????
Val- so glad you are done! Whew!
-
Laura, your visit couldn't have gone better if you had scripted it yourself. You have angels walking wih you, thank God!
Personally, I don't think you can be wrong to have boob greed, you earned the right to be happy with the new you. I am so happy that your ps understands the emotional healing that goes along with the physical. Bless the man that knows that "Good Enough" is not Good Enough!!!
I hope he realized the blessing he is to women or at least you for understanding the journey and the importance of being pleased with the outcome.
-
Annie... I was going to ask about your picture...:).. Which one is you?? We cannot really SEE you....LOL.... I love your story! LOVE FAMILY!!!!!
Ladies.. you all are so beautiful..... I have stopped being so "shocked" at todays events. WOW... But I am really glad my rads. side is doing so well. This is truly a HUGE issue for ladies like me. So I need to focus my thanks on this one thing.. My PS assured me he is not worried about reopening that side and my skin is really good. I do have scar tissue under the incision and in the area the rads Tanned the most.. it is hard.. but again.. he is not concerned.. For this, I am thankful!
Deborah... I am going to check the Vegas thread.. but have not seen you there in a long while. Have you bought tickets to the Pink event?
Again Ladies.. I wish each and EVERY one of you were coming to Vegas to CELEBRATE life with us.... I will remember each of you from BCO .. our sisters. You will be with us in spirit You can count on that.. ((hugs))
-
Darling little Laura, I am the redhead making the scrunchy face on the left of the picture. Amy is my younger by two years (there are four of us plus two boys in there) blonde lil sis.
I'll try to find another one that is bigger, I know this is too silly. I am so freaking bad at computerish stuff.
I wish wish wish wish wish I were going to Vegas with you all. I'll celebrate from here in spirit with all of you.
Laura, today is just making my day that it turned out so very well for you!!!!
xoxoxo to all of you
-
OK, my wonderful husband cut and pasted my 50th bd party photo, hence the tiara. The goofy little guy is Kurt, my nephew, and the dark and handsome guy is my godson, Jack, who shares "our" birthday. He was born on my 30th!
I hope this one is better, guys, I look the same. Just older with one better hoot!
love you all.
xoxo

Sandy is skinnier than I and taller... I am telling you girls.. our size does make the difference..... Anyway... SANDY dear.. I just wanted a FULL C.. and 550 will give me that.. and.. no ripples anymore PS says..:)..who knew..??? I looked right in the 450'ss to begin with... I loked like a full C. .. but as time passed with me.. ( I AM SO ODD)... I did not fluff to bigger.. I settled into a small C cup. I can even where a VS 36 B.

((Laura)) I am so happy that there is a resolution for you that addressed all of your concerns, even though they were not voiced to the Dr. in advance. This is an answer to prayers and I am so thrilled that you won't have to live with the disappointment and uncertainty of the "what if's". Hugs to you big time.
Just a funny. Today I got a letter from my oncologist's office reminding me that I was due for my mammogram. They kindly attached the order for a diagnostic mammogram for the right breast. Unfortunately that is also the breast that was removed
. I have already made the appt. and have an order from my PCP. I just laughed, they had a 50% chance of getting it right.....or left. Jan
