Yummy dairy alternative!

I am sooo excited. Since dairy is just not good for hormone positive breast cancer, and neither is soy, I had pretty much given up on ever being able to have yogurt or ice cream again. But I just discovered "So Delicious" brand coconut milk ice creams and yogurts. They are totally vegan, no dairy, and no soy! I got it at my local co-op but I know they have them at Whole Foods too. The ice cream bars are sweetened with agave, so they are low glycemic.  The yogurts do have some cane sugar, but they are not overly sweet like so many yogurts. And the coconut milk provides good essential fatty acids. Win, win!

Anyway, I'm so thrilled to have a non-dairy, non-soy option that I just had to share it with you all as I'm sure there are lots of other folks out there trying to also avoid dairy and soy!

Wow, I'm also wondering why ER+ bc survivors should avoid dairy.  What's the reasoning?

I'm ER+, I choose to avoid dairy because of the hormones given to these cows for production.

I use to enjoy Soy milk every now and then, but I have now switched to Almond milk.I actually like it better than the soy. Plus, I also found out that I am lactose intolerant

    Thanks DeAnn!

I avoid dairy for the same reason as lexislove. And I believe, I read that, there are hormones that the cow's naturally produce, by virtue of being a mammal, that get in the milk anyway, even if it is organic.

I like to mix equal parts of unsweetend almond milk and unsweetened soy milk (although I know soy is somewhat debatable also. for us er+ gals) as my "milk substitute" Will have to try the coconut milk.
