10 Random Things
Write a note with 10 random things, facts, habits, or goals about you. They can be "fun facts" or serious goals... just something you want to share....
1. I was the first girl born on my Dad's side of the family for 35 years.
2. I can cross one eye at a time.
3. I have 2 tattoos.
4. I've worn glasses (now contacts) since the 4th grade.
5. I was the tallest kid in school until I reached 5th grade.
6. I've never lived more than 80 miles away from where I was born.
7. My favorite color is purple.
8. I want to write a book before I die.
9. I took tap, ballet, jazz and twirling lessons as a young girl. (I was the only girl with 3 older brothers. I think my Mom got a little carried away.)
10. I had severe allergies as a child, took shots from age 7 - 13.

1. I was the first person in my direct ancestry to get a college degree.
2. I can touch my tongue to my nose.
3. I wore glasses from 4th-7th grade, wore contacts from 8th grade to age 35, got laser eye surgery at age 35.
4. I have never lived farther than 10 miles from where I was born.
5.. I would like to write a screenplay before I die.
6. I was allergic to dogs from age 18-43 until I had 1 hypnosis session and now have absolutely no allergies to my dog only (still allergic to other dogs)
7. I have a beautiful woodland garden that I created from scratch (almost--it started with 3 big trees)
8. Favorite celebrity moment: I saw Lauren Bacall crossing the street with her dog from Central Park to her West Side apartment building and I ran up to her and asked if she minded if I took a picture of her and her dog and she replied, "Yes, I DO mind."
9. I like to wear vintage aprons around town as part of my "fashion statement." They are so convenient because they have pockets and they can be super cute.
10. On Obama Inauguration Day, I saw Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam, and he signed my apron, "1st Day President Obama, Eddie Vedder." ( 2nd favorite celebrity moment.)

10 Random Things:
1) I was able to quit smoking in one day. No gum, patch, or pills! DH is very jealous of that, as he is trying to quit.
2) When I was little I wanted to be a P.E. Teacher
3) I was named after a Barbara Streisand song.
4) I have way too many purses. Just added the most gorgeous Dooney to my collection (x-mas present from my dad).
5) I drove from Chicago to New York to take my Dad to the Yankees game for his 50th bday. We prearranged for them to have "Happy B-day" displayed on the jumbo tron.
6) I worked with my husband's mother and was friends with her before I met him while working for the same place.
7) I have four kids, ages ranging 18 to 1. Yes I am insane to start all over.
8) I too would love to write a book.
9) I have 5 tattoos! All not visible when wearing clothes. If you saw me, you would never guess I had five!
10) Best celebrity moment: I met Mayor Daley of Chicago and asked him to take a picture with me. He said "No, I want to take a picture with YOU!"

9 I lived on base alot of my life.
10. I love to write music.

3. Chocolate has become a new love in my life.
4. My husband's eulogy for our daughter was published in Chicken Soup for the Outdoor Soul.
5. I love going to concerts and comedy shows.
6. I love my work.
7. My husband was right. We should have bought the 52" TV.
8. I play religious songs on my Ipod to fall asleep each night.
9. I always thought I would have cancer, and yet was stunned when it happened.
10. I enjoy watching Judge Judy. It is a real study of human nature.
