Juice Plus ?
Hi,
Is anyone taking Juice Plus ? Does anyone know if this product would increase or decrease estrogen levels?

Hi Rose47, I've using Juice Plus. I take it because I'm busy, and often on the run. I don't have time to make sure I have all my fruits and vegatables. It has awesome claims, and the woman who introduced me to it has an amazing testimony. She is in her late seventies now and is doing very well.
It hasn't increased my estrogen levels. I haven't been ill this year, and I teach children. My immune system is strong. I like it better than most vitamins because it goes directly into my system. It is dissolvable, where most vitamins go right through us.
I think when we're high risk for cancer suppliments like Juice Plus are helpful. B Barry

Thanks for sharing.
I was reading the ingredients and it has apples, pineapple and those are estrogen producers.

Yes, but apples, pineapples and other fruits are good for you. I don't think there are enough estrogens in those fruits to make a difference. If it did I would eat much more of it. I am now post menapausal and would like a few more hormones.
But I'm one of those who chose not to take taxolfin to suppress my hormones. What little I have make my bones stronger, and keeps my body in tack. There is a lot of controversy around the whole hormone issue. Suzanne Somors talks about natural hormones that I'm interested in checking out further.

Thanks for chiming in Barry. That's what my naturapath says. I think I'm going to try it along with my other supplements. I chose not to take the drug either.

If I decide to go off Arimidex, one option I am thinking about is taking Juice Plus along with either I3C or DIM -- or maybe both. It seems as though cruciferous vegetables (which the veggie part of Juice Plus is loaded with) have a major effect on transforming "bad" estrogen (estradiol) into less harmful, possibly beneficial estrogen (estriol).
I started taking Juice Plus a few years ago but stopped mostly because of the cost and because I would forget to take it regularly. I can't help but wonder if whether staying on it might have slowed the growth of my ER+ BC, particulary because I had been wearing and estradiol estrogen patch for the past 7 years.
