IBC Could it be?

Hi! I am 26 years old and  I am trying not to jump to conclusions here, but I have had a rash with swelling, pain, itching and burning for about a year now. It gets worse then fades almost away and then comes back worse than ever. My Gyn told me in June 08 it was probably eczema and referred me to dermatologist. He prescribed Apexicon and Doxycycline. I used until empty and rashed never went away. Continued to itch and burn. Went back to him in Oct 08 prescribed Keflex saying maybe it was Mastitis. Took medicine and since then have taken Flagyl and Z-Pack. Rash is still here. I made an appointment with my gyn for tomorrow. I am not sure what to do, he keeps acting like it's nothing to be worried about. But I am. Does this sound like IBC symptoms since it does fade (but not compeltely go away) and then come back?

It doesn't actually sound like IBC to me, but then every case is different. If you have a Breast Center near by, you should call them for an opinion. Because you are so young, you may have trouble with insurance paying for mammo, biopsy, etc. But if your gyn or PC refers you, you should be covered. Since this is obviously causing stress to you, I think you need to have answers. I have never heard of IBC fading away and coming back, but as I said...cancer, especially IBC is not always predictable. Get it checked out for sure. I hope for the best for you, you are so young.

Went in today for app. Gyn did punch biopsy in office and scheduled mammo and ultrasound for Friday. I will keep you posted, thanks for the replies...
