I havew a bone scan scheduled for one week after my final FEC injection. Is it safe to have the radioactive bone scan just a week following a dose of chemo or would my body be overloaded? Thanks in advance.

I can't imagine that the radioactive material they put in you for the bone scan is strong enough to put your body in shock nor can I imagine that a professional doctor would order a bone scan one week afterwards if it wasn't safe.  I didn't have any SE but then again I had the bone scan done 2 weeks ago and I haven't started chemo yet.  JMHO

I just checked with my "cancer journal" and I did have a bone scan only 3 days after my final chemo infusion (EC, yours minus F). Even though I was already pretty sick from chemo at that time, I don't remember myself getting any sicker or feeling any worse after the scan. If it was not a bone scan but radiation treatment, you might be worried about your body getting overloaded but it's just a scan. I don't really believe you should be worried about it. If you are really worried, then ask your doctor and let them know about your concern.
