SGK 3-Day - Atlanta

Good Afternoon.  I first want to introduce myself.  My name is Kellie and I live in Dallas, GA (right outside of Atlanta).  I am a mom to 2 little boys and a wife to a wonderful husband.  Fortunately, I have never had to venture too far with breast cancer personally but have been touched by a few people that are thankfully survivors of breast cancer.  Yesterday I decided (after much thinking) that I am going to participate in the 2009 Atlanta 3 Day walk on Oct. 23-25.  If you are not familiar with this walk, it is 3 grueling days of walking an average of 20 miles per day.  The main reason I want to do this walk is for everyone in this room that I have read the topics and the many other women and men in this world that face this milestone in their life.  I understand that this walk compares NOTHING to what someone with breast cancer goes through but is my way to help as much as I can. 

This might totally sound off the wall or wierd but I would love to develop friendships with some of you through these months of training.  Just to let you know that someone is walking these miles and raising this money for you.  I'm not one to go out and find people on message boards but I really feel as if this is a call from God for me to do.  If you are interested in following me through my journey (no matter where you live, no matter what your story) please send me a message.

If you decide not to partake in this offering, just remember that there are thousands (probably millions) of people in this country that are working hard for you and you will be in my prayers.
