Estring Insert

I'm Estro. Positive and almost five years out of treatment. My gyno is suggesting the E-Ring that may help with menopause issues and constant bladder infections.  Has anyone else tried this and is it dangerous to E-Positive people?

Kat..Try posing this question under the "Moving Beyond Cancer" section. I think that there will be women there who have tried or are using the Estring. There has been talk of it under the "Mojo" section by women who experience vaginal dryness, so check there as well. My impression, from having read these posts, is that it's use IS controversial among gynos, but some think it's safe because it delivers only small amounts of estrogen.

In the Hormonal section, look up the thread titled "Vaginal atrophy - Estring." There is a second similar thread there too. It seems that every possible treatment is somehow controversial so you need to learn what you can and make an informed decision for yourself.

katgirl- I personally used the Estring for about a year after treatment until I developed bone mets in my sacrum, pubic bone, hips, and lumbar spine.  Stopped using the ring and about 8 months later was diagnosed with mets to the ovary, fallopian tube, and peritoneum.  Coincidence...who knows.
