BIRADS 3 - glad the mammo is over!

Well, I lived. I still don't get why my hospital practically trips themselves getting you back into the waiting area, where you wait and wait and wait... Could you tell they were running over an hour behind? I told them that it would just be good manners to tell us how late they were running - heck, they have really good coffee, I could have had a soda, almost anything rather than reading 4 old People's while shivering in an ugly johnny. Rant over.

I used Lidocaine patches on boobs to numb things up - it worked pretty darned well - I read that this was recommended on this site, and I was pleased with the minimal pain (ok, discomfort).

My results were come back in 6 months - they can't say for sure that everything is clear, but it doesn't seem likely. I still have a lot of scarring, so they want to recheck, but YAH!

No offense to those of you still in active treatment, but I never want to do this again.

Hugs, I can empathize.. the birads 3 report. UGH.. the undecided, probably benign report. Come back in 6 and revisit the boring, cold, waiting room filled with uncertainty and old magazines.. Now doesnt that sound inviting? I had the same stupid report every 6 mo.. I have been in the 6 mo. club since Aug 06'. So far, I still have to have mammo/US/MRI.. thank God the MRI is the final say, but, the surgeon says I should really consider double masts already, since he said these imaging techniques didnt find my cancer in the first place.. thank God I had a density that turned out to be a fibroadenoma. If they didnt go in for that (which I insisted on), they never would have found the invasion..Well.. I didnt post this to add anything to your anxiety, just to tell ya that I understand.. I pray for your peace and the ALL CLEAR next time.

PS-my MRI is on the 26th..hoping its "come back in 6" lol.. hugs

     Blessings.
