Just a quick question and a comment,  First I have to say that after just two chemotherapy treatments my mom's breast in responding incredibly well.  We saw her oncologist today and he is thrilled with the results and talking surgery after just two more treatments.  What a Christmas gift, I am in tears as I write this.

So now for my question.  Is it possible to get to NED if you are stage IV with mets in the bone?  She will have an MRI after her next treatment so I was just wondering if we can even hope for that.  Thanks everyone and happy holidays to all of you wonderful women.

Yes, yes, yes.  I am not an expert on IBC but I do know 2 women who did aggressive treatment for IBC and have been NED for YEARS.  Maryiz

God I hate this rotten disease!!!!  So, my poor mom who has been the chemo nazi, was so sick on Christmas day that she had to go home after just an hour at my house.  Christmas is her favorite holiday and she was so excited to have a big dinner and open gifts and spend time with me and my sister.  This is the first time she has actually gotten physically ill and it was so sad to watch and not be able to fix it.  F*** IBC!!!!!!  I am so angry that she was trying to "not ruin our Christmas".  Not angry at her, just angry.  I have always been able to fix whatever the problem and I can't fix this.  Sorry for the rant.

So.....after my rant I have decided that I need to take a step back and realize that this chemo is doing it's job so I can only 1/2 hate it.  Thanks for listening.....you must think I am totally off my rocker, lol.

Jadai - you are very sane and certainly are allowed to be angry for your Mom.  I'm so sorry to hear she is going through a hard time during her favorite holiday.  Hugs Joann
