Can we add a topic? Paget's disease of the breast is not addressed here amongst the other types of breast cancer.Granted only four % get it. I tend to think it's a lot higher like most statistics that fall short of drawing the full picture. All you need do is google "paget's disease" at bc,org and there are a lot of posts about it. I am being biopsied for it on January 5th.

Please consider this seriously, you'll be doing a great service to many people!

I was diagnosed with pagets in August 2006.  Unfortunately the original biopsy came back as clear of BC and the mammogram came back fine.  That was a year before dx. The dermatologist diagnosed it.  I had been to at least four doctors, including a BC surgeon.  I reluctantly went to the dermatologist to see why I had the rash and oops, BC was the dx with Pagets.

Doe, I am confused. Why would you be biopsed for pagets after the dx for BC.  For me, pagets was the presentation of BC.  My onc told me that pagets was no longer the issue once the underlying tumor was identified as Stage II IDC.  I had lumpectomy, chemo and rads.  Nipple and surrounding area was removed.

    Thanks,

    Susan
