Itchy skin

Options

Hi.  I'm not really sure where to post this honestly.  This problem has been going on for quite a while but until treatment was finished I had more pressing things on my mind.

Everytime I exercise or anything like it, when I get flushed or sweaty I start itching, its uncomfortable and very annoying.  Is this due to menopause? Has anyone else experienced this?

I am going to post this on other threads.  Any input would be helpful, thanks

Teresa

I've had this reaction ever since  junior high school, more than 30 years ago, obviously long before any breast issues (I only have LCIS, ALH, and nothing worse.) It didn't happen EVERY time I exercised.  But if I got flushed/sweaty I started itching.

???Maybe it has to do with a histamine reaction (which is often part of an 'allergic' reaction.)

I've had several autoimmune-associated diseases, recently diagnosed with scleroderma.  The scleroderma specialist feels I do not have the predominantly autoimmune type of scleroderma though, but more of a vascular subtype. I also have Raynaud's.

I haven't been able to exercise much for the last couple of years, but when itching is a problem,I'm trying occasional antihistamines.
