This was a quiet birthday, to say the least.  I woke up with a stiff neck and had to fly to Houston this evening for work.  I am feeling a little cranky...lol

On the other hand, I have been reflecting on the fact that some years ago, I got a new PCP, and he told me to be sure and get a baseline mammogram before I turned 40.  So, 5 years ago, right after my 39th birthday, I went for a mammogram.  Wow - DCIS!  Then, right after my 40th b-day, on December 13th, I was diagnosed again, that time, IDC.

I rode the roller coaster for a few years, but today I celebrate my 44th birthday and I finally feel like it's behind me.  Knock on wood!

Cheers and best wishes to all of the dear friends I have made along this journey - may we all have a million more birthdays betweens us to celebrate.
