What is Indole 3 Carbenol??

What exactly is "Indole 3 Carbenol" and why r so many people taking it? I have never heard of it for alternative medicine so am very curious!!

Indole 3 Carbinol is a natural nutrient (is that redundant?) that is found in cruciferous veggies.  It helps the body eliminate estrogen harmlessly, similar to Tamox's action of blocking estrogen, among other things.  I'm taking it instead of Tamox because after chemo, I was sick of subjecting my body to chemicals.  You can find tons of info if you Google it.  Here are a couple of links:  http://www.canceractive.com/page.php?n=1417
