After reading a few threads, I wanted to introduce myself to this community. I look forward to sharing ideas with other forum members to have a better lifestyle. I am a personal trainer for a basketball team and would be more than happy to share any advice. Let's stay focused and strong!

Best regards,

Richard

Welcome Richard!  Glad to see your not afraid of BC.  You will be amazed how many personal trainers don't want to work with people who have or had BC - I still haven't found one in my area that is either knowledable or comfortable working with me since I've had my lumpectomy.  Even my massage therapist dropped me because she was "afraid of making the cancer spread."  The cancer center near me had to drop their massage center because of lack of funding - acck.  I finally found a program for BC survivors but it doesn't start until January 2009.  So instead I bike 8-10 miles a day (weather permitting).  My upper body has atrophyed because I'm afraid of certain movements since it either causes pain or sets nerve endings off.  Any suggestions?
