Hot flashes, can't sleep and lost appetite

Hi All,

I just had lumpectomy last 2 weeks and still very depress while waiting for oncodx test result.  I have hot flash every nite and can't sleep; even lost my appetite.  I've not taking any medication for treatment yet but not sure why I have hotflashes.  I'm taking Alprazolam to help me relax and get some sleep but seems it's not going away.

Any one out there have the same symptoms and share how to get over it?

It probably is just the stress of waiting.  Once you have the type and a plan in place you can relax and be more in control.  Will be thinking of you and hope all goes smoothly. hugs sherry

Thank you Mamhop and Sherry for sharing.  For some reason, it just scares me and I couldn't help it.  Everyday I feel a stream of heat from the back up to my head especially in the evening.  Already lost 8 pounds.  The medication does help me to get some sleep but not always.  I hope it will go away with time.
