I'll pass on the video.  I took a biology class in college and one day the professor spent the entire lecture talking about parasites.  He reiterated over and over "a parasite will not harm it's host, unless, that is, you pick it up at the wrong stage of its development" and subsequently showed us every kind of disgusting picture/video/lab sample you can think of where parasites were ingested at the wrong stage of development.  We saw lungs, eyeballs, brains, you name it.   I remember walking out of class thinking "that's it, I'll never eat again, go barefoot, swim in lakes, oceans, rivers, etc.,"

Not that I didn't know this kind of thing could happen, but just reading about it is making me want to NEVER go outside again!!

As my kids were growing up I used to routinely worm them when I did my dogs... he he he ....we had a farm, the place was teeming with animals and muck, so why not ??

I was aware of what worms could do, so it was just a sensible precaution to me !! We regularly wormed every animal that walked on the farm, so why not the kids....DD was horrified when she found out some years ago !!!!
