stupid heart dr!

So I called my heart surgen because my sternum has been hurting (I had open heart surgery in April).  I thought I'd hear "oh that's just normal healing".  No instead I got quetsions and the words CAT SCAN thrown at me! no no no no no no no no no tests!  I know  I know I'm jumping the gun because it wasn't my dr I was talking to but I believe it's dr that works with him not the nurse.  ARG - stupid dr.  so now I wait til they call back tomorrow.

Get the Cat Scan you never know, I don't know if your on herceptin or not but it can cause heart problems and you've already had heart surgury.  I really get tired of tests and scans but I'm doing it because I'd rather know if there are changes, as quickly as possible.  Good luck and try relax a bit, I understand how frustrating it really can be.  Big Hugs,   Geeze again I had to change my big hugs always write Bug Hugs.

Jill, you have to do what they say. Even if what you're feeling is normal, you have to be on the safe side and get checked out.

These guys sometimes cover-their-posteriors.  But, better safe than sorry. I take it that it's been hurting more than 2 weeks?

Don't they crack open your sternum for heart surgery?  Sure, you've got to be safe, but I can't imagine its anything other than a residue of thh surgery.  Try to speak with your own heart doc since you trust him.

Yes more than 2.  And I'm thinking normal healing too but I'd hoped they say that right away!

 And yes yes of course I'll get the tests done if they insist BUT i'll pout the whole time

it will suck if you have to wait until Monday for results.

I have used a 'Plastic Spacer' for my Belly ring when I have surgery or tests.

Probably too late for you to go buy one (I got mine at Hot Topic)
