Severe swelling after Abraxane

My aunt has metastic breast cancer and just finished her last dose of chemo. It was Abraxane. She is now experiencing horrible all over body swelling (not just feet and hands). Her doctor has researched this and spoken with the drug maker and then say it is a very rare side effect. It is not typical swelling due to fluid retention but actual tissue and capillary swelling. Has anyone had any experience with this and know how long it lasts? She is miserable and her doctor has never seen this particular side effect and has no advice. Thanks!
