1st Treatment and Neulasta Shot

Options

Hi All,

I just had my first round of Taxotere on Thurs, Nov 13, nothing really kicked in until Sat.  My entire fbody eels achy, I don't feel like eating, my whole body hurts.

Is that from the shot or the actual treatment.

I will be going every 3 weeks.  Will my body recover before the next treatment?

I have a 14 month old, and I feel so bad that he is not getting the attention he needs.

Any advice?

Thanks,

RLS

I had the same problem. I switched to another shot (Nulastin I believe) and it was much easier.

The problem is you have to have a shot every day for 5 days. Kind of a drag, but the body pain isn't nearly as bad.

I found that when I was a Taxotere I was so tired and had low energy. My onc mentioned to me about my bone aches and flu symptoms to take Alieve and Claritian. That made a difference for me. I took it the morning before my shot. Then I took for 3 days after. I found that it really helped me for I was miserable. My body took me about 2  weeks to recover before I found out about the Alieve and Clariatian.  By the 3 week and having to go back when I started to feel better. I dreaded going back, but was happy that is was one less treatement I had to do.
