Bad News About my Niece
I just found out my Niece was DX with Cervical Cancer. She is only 22.
They do not know any details yet- they see the Dr again this Thursday.
Please keep her in Your thoughts & prayers that it is only Stage O.
If you have some good websites - please post the links for me.

Pam - sorry to hear about your niece - she is so young! Poor thing must be so frightened. Did she have symptoms or just a routine check caught it?
She will be in my daily prayers - please keep us updated on what the doc says.

Pam I'll be praying it's very early - was it caught in a pap smear? She is very young, so that gives me confidence that it's early stage. Let us know when you learn anything new!
-
Pam, I will be praying for her tonight and every night. I am sick of cancer, really sick of it. We need someone to cure this. Please tell her we will all be with her through this journey. Maryiz

Pam you have gone through so much lately
So sorry to hear about your niece on top of everything else
I hope this will be her case:
How is it treated?
Cervical cancer that is caught early can usually be cured. If the cancer is caught very early, you still may be able to have children after treatment.
Here are some web sites I found that have a lot of info:

It's a sad day when our little nieces have to deal with this awful disease. I am hoping and praying it is only stage 0.
-
Thank you all for your thoughts & prayers.
And for the Links. I have been googleing most of the weekend.
Im not sure if she had any symptoms swimangel- I do know she has had many abnormal paps.
I will let you know what I hear at the end of the week.

Pam, I haven't read this forum for quite a while so I just saw your post now. I'm so sorry that your niece has been diagnosed with cancer - and at such a young age!
Fingers & toes crossed here too, hoping that it is Stage 0 and easily treated with no long term implications. Please let her know what she has a big support group here!
-
Pam,

thanks everyone for your thoughts & prayers. I was so worried. I should have waited & posted when I had all my info.
My dh did not get alot of info from his mom last night- but what he did get sounded good!
It is either precancer or Noninvasive Cancer. Sounds like they will remove it somehow - but his mom did not know how. I know there are several choices.
So it is all very good news.
It is hard to get medical details from anyone in his family

So glad to hear it's not Invasive Cancer! I know you and your family have been so worried. Keep us posted...
-
