Hypnotherapy and Cancer

Hello all! I am a hypnotherapist and am looking to educate people on the benefits and uses of hpnotherapy. My grandmother passed last year from vulvarian cancer and watching her suffer was very difficult on my entire family. As I began taking courses on hypnotherapy and learned the benefits it can have on people with cancer, I decided that is what my primary focus is going to be. So, I'm not here to sell my services to anyone, but to give those of you suffering another therapy option to be used in conjunction with your physicians treatments. Here just a few things it can help with:

1. Pre-Op - Studies show a quicker recovery and minimal blood loss during surgery with the use of pre and post op hypnosis.

2. Pain Management - While in a state of trance induced by hypnosis you can better control pain. I used this one myself as I was getting intense pressure headaches daily. Through the use of hypnosis, I haven't had a single headache in three weeks. I also used this technique to help me manage pain while in labor with my son.

3. Overall wellness - Guided imagery can help you to reduce anxiety surrounding your illness.

4. Chemotherapy - Hypnosis aids in reducing symptoms of nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and pain.

I am very interested in using hypnotherapy and/or meditation to help with treatment.  Do you know of any cds that have meditations for getting through chemo?  Thanks
