Hi

I had an MRI last wk and it came back Birads 4 - suspicious abnormality in my OTHER breast.  I'm having a MRI guided CNB tomorrow a year later almost to the day from my last one.  I tried to skip this step and go straight to surgery, but surgeon needs a clip put in.  He wants me to have surgery in the next wk and his staff is working on scheduling me.  I can't believe I have to go through this again.  They say LCIS is usually in both breasts.  I am hoping it is that and nothing worse.  I am seriously considering PBMs, but I will wait to see the outcome of this biopsy and surgery.  Any support is greatly appreciated!  I'm stressing out!!Yell

Kimber----So sorry to hear you have to go thru another biopsy.  If it is  only more LCIS, will you still have to have it excised?  Praying they find nothing  serious.

I did the last time.  I had CNB, excisional biopsy and then a lumpectomy.  It went from Nov - Feb and was extremely stressful, so I think my surgeon is putting me on the fast track this time.  Thank you for the prayers!

Kimber - As a fellow LCIS gal I know the worry/wait/bx pattern must be driving you crazy. Here's all kinds of good wishes floating your way. I am hoping for nothing more than another dx of LCIS. Good luck and let us know how things go. - Jean

    Kimber,

I'm only an ADH gal, but I still understand the whole worry, waiting, mammo, diagnostic mammo, u/s, MRI, lumpectomies. . . .      I am SO sorry you are having to go through all this scary cr@p again.  You will be in my thoughts and prayers, and I have benign thoughts going out to you.

    Please keep us posted.

Oh Kimber - I'm so sorry you are going through this again.  I sure wish I could 'fast forward' you to bypass the stress.  At least your surgeon is trying to fast track you.  Wishing you  silly, boring, normal results.  I sure hate it when my LCIS sisters are going through this!!

    Hi Ladies,

Today I had the clip placement, no biopsy.  It was worse than the CNB last year.  The spot is clear back near my chest wall.  Afterward they had to mammo me about 8-10 times to get the clip on the film because it was so far back.  My surgery is Monday at 1 pm.  My surgeon is great about calling with the results and not making you wait until the post op appt.  So I hope to be on with the next phase of whatever this is by the middle/end of next wk.  I also switched oncologists and I feel great about that decision.  The one I had treated me like a number and talked so fast I couldn't understand her.

Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers.  Any thoughts on this thing being so far back and close to the chest wall?  Or is that just scary because it sounds scary???

Kimber---sorry to hear it was so uncomfortable.  However, I am glad to hear that you have a doctor you like now, that's so important. My LCIS was found way back, almost in my armpit, it was very hard for them to biopsy.  There are lobules extending way back toward the chest wall, so it could be more LCIS---will be praying for you on Mon that it is nothing more than another spot of LCIS. (as you know LCIS is most often found to be multifocal, multicentric and bilateral, so it can be anywhere throughout both breasts and the risk remains the same).

    Anne
