Hospital Therapy

My wife's sisters in the hospital waiting for sister to get well. Her sister has gone through chemotherapy and recently stopped, she could not endure the pain anymore. unfortunately, things have gotten worse and she's back at the hospital. She has very swollen hands and cannot sleep or digest food. Is there any therapy that might ease her pain? She's already on morphine. I'm very new to this situation, can anyone give me some suggestions.
