Need some input please

Hello All

I could use some input or advise. I'll keep it simple and to the point. Noticed a rash on my left breast a few days ago. Felt dry and warm so I applied skin lotion. Didn't stop the itch and the rash spread a little, but it seemed to calm it down some. Also noticed burning in the breast at that area and slightly to the right. The next day my breast was quite swollen. Still had burning sensations and now noticed some discomfort/pain in my lower arm pit area. Today the area just seems a little pink but still have burning sensations, breast still a good bit larger then right side and now have discomfort/pain in upper arm pit and lower. Not sure if this is my body fighting an infection. I'm not "alarmed", but am concerned. Is this a simple trip to my GYN or should I see a surgeon?? Any advise or input is appreciated.

I'd go first to the Gyn to see if he/she feels any thickening or lumps.  Get a mamog and an ultrasound and also check things out with a breast surgeon.  Maybe this is nothing but it would be important to find out what it is asap. Don't wait.
