As we walk this road together... I'm holding your hand, too!
Fumi, praying the lump is anything BUT the Big C! Love you!
-
Here's another hand for you to hang onto....
So sorry to hear about the shingles. I had mine 6 weeks after my stage 2 reconstruction surgery, just when I thought my life was going to get better. Supposedly stress is a contributing factor to getting them. I suppose I was lucky the shingles waited til after my chemo, surgery and rads.
Where did the shingles appear? Is it near the unmentionable? Hopefully, it's just a swollen lymph node trying to get rid of those damn shingles!
-
Fumi,I only know you from your "picture" forum, but I will hold your hand, too. I'm sorry you have shingles. I had them, too, about 6 weeks after an ooph and 2nd stage reconstructive surgery. I thought it was inflamatory BC because it was over my breast. Thank goodness it was "only" shingles. I hope your lump is not the big C, and you'll be feeling better soon.
-
Holding on tight, and praying that what you feel is just your body dealing with the shingles virus and sending it packing!
-
Fumi - right there with you - and anxiously waiting on the news of what your onc thinks about that knot that you found ... praying that it is nothing to be concerned with and doing the B9 B9 B9 chant.. please give us an update ASAP...
Hugs and prayers,
Doreen

Thank you everyone for your concern, prayers and good thoughts.
That thing in my good underarm wasn't the big C but something called sebaceous cyst.
Last night I met with my onc and as soon as he checked it, he knew that's it.
He cut my underarm open and removed all the bad stuff as it was already inflamed.
I was given the local but since the anesthetic agent couldn't go deep into the incision site,
it was still SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO painful.
He wrote a referral letter to my GP so that I could have the wound clean and drained.
Today was the first day to see my GP for this and he changed the gauze, drained the wound
and cleaned it with iodine, which hurt like hell. I could have cried like a baby if nobody was there.
I can't believe I have to get this done for the next 10 days.
But at least it had nothing to do with BC so that's a good thing.
My shingles... They are still here.
Surprisingly I have never got any pain at all. The itching was almost unbearable
but now it's gone. I will only have to wait the rash to be gone, which may take a week or so.
I know I shouldn't complain as things could have been much worse
but to be honest, I am not thankful at all!!!
Thank you again for being there for me.
xo

WELL GIDDY-UP FUMI -------SO HAPPY TO HEAR THAT THE BIG 'C' DIDN'T GET HER DIRTY HANDS ON YOU AGAINA.
STAY STRONG, MY FRIEND!!!!!!
-
Oh Fumi, sooo glad to hear it was a small c cyst and not a big C anything!
I hope that the cleaning/draining procedure becomes not painful as the healing continues.
-
Fumi - I'm sooo happy that it's not cancer - but man alive - that sounds like torture!! I hope that the 10 days go by quickly and that that the pain will be less each day you have to have this done.
Hugs,
Doreen

I can cross my eyes with Otter, but my mother warned me that one day they would stay that way. Fumi--Here goes. I don't cross my eyes for just anyone. ( Just checked in the mirror and they are back to normal.) Hang in there.

TimTam,
I am looking at reconstruction very soon. I was told that you could give me instructions on getting into the timtam photo website.

Fumi ~ I missed your posts! Seemed like you'd just come into my life and made me laugh, then you were gone! So glad to see you back and if I may ~ I'd love to join the circle!
Thanks for the smile!
-
Fumi - I just now saw the post about your underarm lump! Glad it's not the big "C" of course, but so sorry you had to have such a painful procedure!
Take care with that wound so that it doesn't get infected!
Hang in there, Z. We are all with you in spirit.

Hey Fumi,
Hanging on with the rest of the gang!
Glad it was a cyst and not something more sinister!

Glad that worry is over for you, and nice to check in with you again. Have had similar myself--why don't we get a "get out of jail free" card after all this (monopoly game)--just the way life goes, unpredictable and all, but full of beauty, like beautiful people here.
--take care,
--Hattie

Finally got some terrific news to share with you!
Got a call from my best friend who is an Aussie living in Melbourne AU
and figured out that her only daughter Jess has been pregnant for 7 weeks now.
Us three (me, my friend and Jess) are all too dumb to know when the due date is
but we are guessing (after did a bunch of Google) it's somewhere around the 17th July of next year?
Correct us if wrong.
I have known our Jeddibear since she was in her 10th grade
and now she has grown up to be a young lady!
Me and my best friend Kelli have shared just about everything in our lives with each other, from the worst to the best.
We are twins in spirit, her mum calls me her Japanese daughter and Jess says she has two mum's.
So her baby should be my first ever grandkid!
I WILL BE A GRANDMUM AS WELL AS A GOD MOTHER!
Boy, how can I not be excited???
xo
Fumi -
Hey Z,
That's awesome news! Congrats!
As for the due date, all I know is to count 40 weeks from conception.
xo,
D
-
Hey D!
Are you aware that my grandkid should be your step kid?
We share our parents and you are my yet another twin sister in spirit.
So I dare tell you, I can't feel old without making you feel old.
You too will be a grannie with me! *lol*xo
Fumi -
Congratulations, Fumi! You will make an awesome Grandmum.
Bugs (btw...very relieved to see that the lump was a cyst!!)
-
Okay, Grannie Z - I'll be honored to join you in grandmother-hood!
xo,
Grannie D
-
fumi, good to hear that the lump was a sebaceous cyst, but i wish it had not hurt so much!
Congrats!!!! on your "grandchild"!
Now you must get over those shingles!!!!!
hugs, celia

Hi fumi, so glad the lump was just a noncancerous cyst. Hope your shingles go away quickly. When I had mine, I heard all kinds of stories of cases much worse than mine. One woman had it them in her vagina. Many cases last for months, sometimes years. Many cases are painful. But I agree with you -- it's hard to be grateful when the best thing happening is the absence of something really horrible. Hope the grandchild is happy and healthy before he or she even gets here.
-
Hi Fumi, I hope that you are feeling better than you were a few days ago. Remeber that your friends are here to listen and to help and to hold your hand.
