Dear All,

I am located in east central Mississippi and am looking for support group focused on BC, for those with bc mets, if available.  I am willing to drive < 2 hours each way if something is available in other parts of MS.

    Becky,

I see your post is from 2008.  I live in Meridian and I've (and my DH too) have been attending Careousel (breast cancer support group) here in Meridian since I was diagnosed in September.  We'd love to see you there if you are still interested.

I live in New Albany (about 20 minutes from Tupelo), but I work and receive treatment in Oxford. We have a good support group here and several of our ladies have mets. It's a great group and Beth, our breast health navigator is wonderful. Where do you live?

    Hi Lana:

I live in Meridian.  We are so blessed to have a regional cancer center here.  It's only 11 miles from my home and I am so thankful for the wonderful doctors and staff.  They really have made my journey easier.

We also have a great breast cancer support group, Careousel, that meets every 3rd Tuesday at the cancer center.  Dr. Berg and Linda Farmer are the facilitators and they are 2 of the most wonderful, caring people I know.

I (along with my DH) attended the first meeting 4 days after I received my diagnosis.  The women (and men) have been our rocks along with family and friends.  It really is so great to be able to talk to others that have traveled this road and continue to do well.

Our Relay for Life was on May 4th and I gotta say I was so emotional while walking in my first survivors lap!  The group of survivors grows every year and I'm praying that one day that there will not be any "In Memory of" names called just "In honor of" names!

    Take care!
