Just saw this on Yahoo.  Too bad it wasn't true for me!  But it's focusing on hormones and since I'm ER/- it guess that makes more sense!

I'm not taking too much stock in this. Just about every breast cancer survivor I know, including me, has or had migraines. I also ate lots of antioxidants, exercised and did all the other many things that supposedly prevent breast cancer, and got it anyway.

    Hi ....

I heard this today and was very surprised since I have suffered from horrible migraines my whole life .... and I'm very fit and eat the right foods, too.  But I still got breast cancer .....

    I'm starting to think they haven't a clue! I say that with a bit of sarcasism but . . . . . . . . . .

Sheesh. I had horrible migraines until I got bc and went into menopause.

The article thought low estrogen levels caused the menstrual migraine. Well, following that logic, the "no estrogen" from menopause and AIs should be hell itself. For me, menoapuse has lessened, but not gotten rid of, my migraines.

    Heavy sigh.

I've had migraines for more years than I can remember, and BC showed up.

IMO, this is another classic example of wasted research money.

Interestingly, I have had few and far between migraines but it has definitely gotten worse since bc and going on tamoxifen, which would support the thesis, I guess.  I think for some people migraines are hormonally driven, but for women who have more serious migraines they are driven by many other sources (like diet).
