Breast pain?

I have been having pain for the last few days in my breast that I had the lumpectomy in.  At first shooting pains and now constant.  I can only describe it as pain, not soreness and it's not really to the touch.  It is not like the bee stings I had when I was healing.  Anyone have any advice as to what may be going on?  I am scheduled for an MRI on Nov 5.  My lumpectomy was in Feb.  Any thoughts appreciated!!

    Hi Kimber,

Not sure how much you use your arms at home or work each day , it may be muscle spasms.

I work where my arms are in motion a big part of the day and there are days where I need a muscle relaxer and put my arms on pillows while sitting in the evening.

Let us know how things turn out for you.

    Hugs and Prayers

    Nan

Kimber- I had my excisional in Feb also and have also experienced pain in that breast.  I asked the Dr. this last time if that was normal this much later and they said yes, that it's scar tissue pulling and rehealing and could take up to a year.  My incision still burns a lot too- it's across the top, and I guess it's the pulling on the scar that makes it still sensitive.

i had my lumpectomy in nov. o7 and had problems from the beginning. first i develop a ceroma in the breast buy the scare. its a pocket of fluid that gathers and can sometimes become infected. i had to have it drained a couple of times. then if the pain keeps happening and spreads down the breast ,in the chest, the shoulder blades. it is truncal lymphedema , i have that now and it is so painful i have to wear morphine patches. just be persistent with your doctor or find a new one. hope you feel better.
