Hi!

I just saw your post.  Last week I decided that I would take matters into my own hands.  I saw a female breast surgeon.  She measured the mass (it is huge compared to my cyst ... I think that she said one measurement was 11 cm) and she said that the "cyst" may be a seroma.  An MRI has been ordered.  She said that if the MRI shows that the mass is just scar tissue then I have that re-assurance.  I asked how the MRI could confirm cancer or scar tissue.  They will inject a die .. since cancer cells needs more blood this test will be able to confirm.  As for the seroma she will give me a med (I forgot the name of it) for one month.  It will help open the blood vessels so that the seroma will get the blood that it needs to heal.  I will take that for one month.  If it works, then I will take it for another two months.  If it doesn't work then she will biopsy the area ..... maybe drain it.  I personally think that the cyst/seroma is infected... the area is red ... round .... a little larger than a quarter and it throbs.  No fever yet .... at least not a high one.

For the first time in months I finally feel confident in a physician ... this woman does "boobs" all day every day.  Who better to know how to treat potential problems.  In the end I may just have them taken off ... they are huge and hurt my neck and shoulders anyway )  I am 54 and my husband says to do what I feel is the best ... he would rather have me than me keep my boobs )  good man ...
