I'm 46 years old. I had my mastectomy on July 31st, my breast cancer broke through my skin and took over my nipple, spread through my skin and to two lymph nodes because I finally got diagnosed. I always knew there was a problem but I could never get my HMO to believe me. They did biopsies but never near where I knew it was growing.  They just kept writing it off as "Scar Tissue".

I just finished four treatments of A/C and my next treatments are Taxol and Herceptin. I go every other Thursday, with the exception of November treatments, where I will go once a week for three weeks, with the last week of Nov. off., then it's back to chemo the rest of December. I will then go once every three weeks for Herception, then I'll get Tamoxifen.   My Taxol loading dose, I'm told, will take 6 hours.

Is there anyone else out there with aggressive of a cancer and getting bombarded with Chemo? I think I have a good attitude about all this. I'm doing what I'm supposed to but some days are just too much to take.

I dont know about bombarded but I am getting four rounds of both the A/C and the Taxotere at the same time instead of the customary 4 weeks each and I have not yet been scheduled for surgery.

I started with 4 treatments on Adry/Cytox. every other week and then my doctor switched me to Taxol and Herceptin --I went for twelve treatments--one every week for three weeks-one week off and the repeated..till I was done..The chemo did what is was supposed to do-shrink the tumor, so I could have surgery  .Had a mast in Sept. --starting radiation on Oct. 22 and when that is done--have to get Herceptin once every three weeks..So you are not alone witn this kind of treatment.

One more thing--I'm also taking Armidex every day..
