Guilt? How to deal?

   My fiance' was dx'd on her birthday. I was in Illinois she was in Arizona. My job takes me all over the country and keeps us apart alot. Her was with her when they give her the news. She hd to make all the phone calls to family. Her son lives not far and her daughter lives in N.C. She is expecting our first grandchildren in November. Twin girls. At the time her husband was deployed to Iraq and she got the news of her moms dx all alone.

  The dx was IBC. I was able to travel back to Arizona but only for a short time.

   Cant help feel like I have let my family down. I should have done more got her to the doctors like she is suppose to for check ups. i wasn't there when she needed me. Because i chose the profession I chose she is alone.

Anyone else out there with advise?

Your finace' health is her responsibility not yours. Sh*T happens. You can be the best support possible. Let go of the guilt. It can't change anything.
