Another Reason to not eat Meat....
I really miss a good hamburger now and than but... with more and more of this coming out. I'll eat my veggies.
Superfoods may be safe, but skip the surprise
Why should anyone be making genetically engineered animals anyway? Most of the concerns raised about these critters are ethical.

Are you concerned about genetic engineering to cure breast cancer? Because that's going on right now in research labs.
Help me understand your position ... You don't them raising cows just to kill for you to eat, but you do mind if they use some DNA manipulation to decrease their fat content?

You know, I have read both of your posts and I am tired, but I am not sure what either of you are sayimg!!!!!!!!!! That article and the thought of "superfoods", disgusts me.
Ok, so here is my position...I am against genetic engineering of ANIMALS on a GLOBAL level...it's not ethical and unnecessary. Superfood, cancer cure...all of it!
I think a vast majority of Breast Cancer is caused by lifestyle. I think that in general, Americans are lazy and not willing to give up our precious food, even if it means saving our lives. Sounds harsh, but I do include myself in this. Meat is BAD for us. We don't need meat for protein, we have the protein in our bodies...we need the amino acids to build on that protein. Dairy is BAD...we burn up so many nutrients including calcium in the digestion of dairy...is it any wonder that osteoporosis is a major problem??? We are the only species on the planet that consumes another animals milk by the way...processed foods, refined sugar...ALL CAUSE CANCER. but God forbid we give up our Filet Mingon and cheese and cake. I am so tired of everyone whining about how healthy they eat and yet they still get cancer...We don't eat healthy. The lables on our foods with all of the chemicals we can't pronounce clearly say DON"T EAT ME!!!!! but we do, taking comfort in the creative packaging that appeals to our desire to eat what we want and fool ourselves into thinking we are eating healthy. I am not going to rely on science to find me a cure before I simply look in my back yard and use the fantastic food that God put on this earth to make us healthy and cure us of disease. I am not going to pin a scientist with the responsibility of curing my cancer. It is my cancer, my responsibility to cure myself.
By the way, Florida Lady, I am a stage IV sister, mets to the bone...lots of bones...I was diagnosed last year. Before my dx, the day of my lumpectomy, I changed my diet,,,no meat, no dairy, no processed foods, no refined sugar...basically, if it didn't get picked from the ground or pulled from a tree...ORGANIC ground and trees, by the way...I didn't eat it. I got a hold of a rainforest protocol, specifically geared to cancer, sailed through chemo. Just last week, I found out that the cancer is no longer in my bones, no longer in my breast. The only trace is a leision on my scapula that might be a bone cist. I will say, that there is a place for science. If we use our knowledge wisley, and use it as a complement to a truly natural healing lifestyle we can win. Hell, I am winning...the alternative is not an option.
