Hello Ladies!
I have recently relocated to the Pittsburgh area and I was hoping to connect with some fellow survivors in the area.  When I was diagnosed FOUR years ago at age 32, this site really helped me get through the tough times and find others that were in a similar situation.  The experience was invaluable.
Now I'm facing a new phase of my life in a new town, and I'm having a really hard time adjusting.  Hopefully through this site I can find some others to help me get over another "life-challenge".
THANKS!

Princess, good luck in Pittsburgh, I grew up near there in Johnstown.  I am currently in Ohio but visit the area occassionaly when I visit family.  What brings you to the new location, job, family, just a change of pace?

Princess, I'm in Morgantown, WV, which is about an hour and a half away from the Burgh. I went to college in Pittsburgh; it's a wonderful town. I miss it sometimes. If you are ever in this area, feel free to let me know--just PM me.

I'm just finishing up radiation for a small area of DCIS. It's been a crazy road! Good luck to you in your new life!

    Hello Princess

I'm a couple hours North of you, in the Erie area.  I'm new on the "journey"!

    Hi!
Thanks for your replies.  It's so funny that we have other things in common (besides bc) that immediately hit me.

    LuAnn- I'm from Ohio
    redheadace1- I'm a redhead too!
Lisasayers- My name is Lisa too!

Silly, but I thought it was funny.

I'm from Toledo, Ohio- but moved here for my husband's job.  I lived in Toledo my whole life, so it's been hard being away from family & friends, and a job that I loved.  Life is crazy and unpredictable- as we all know- and I'm trying to look on the bright side.

Ladies, I hope you are all doing well on your "journey".  Lisa, I see you were just dx'ed- do you know what your treatment is going to be?  I hope you find as much support and information you need on this site.  It was WONDERFUL for me when I was going through everything.  There is nothing like talking to others that have been through it.
Ace, CONGRATS on finishing up your rads!  Make sure you celebrate!  I never had rads, but I heard they aren't fun.  Are you near the "haunted prison" thats always on tv?  One of my husband's coworkers wants us to go there around Halloween.  I'm not sure if I'm brave enough though:)
