OH wow, Jenny!  Congrats on the pregnancy!  And on quitting smoking...I know firsthand how hard THAT is to do....... I don't think the rads would hurt the baby as it is in the breast area and not in the abdominal area......Only your rad  doc can tell you for sure......Good luck Jenny!   Hugs!

Yeah - babies are the best!

You quit smoking at just the right time.

I'm sure that they can work someting out to protect your littlest one.

    That's so exciting!

Maybe you can wait until after the first trimester.

Hmm, of course, talk with your oncologist and espcially your ob-gyn.  My first instinct is "NO", at least the first trimester.  Even then, I would be worried.

At least be sure they give you a lead apron.  They will argue that "the waves are so specific, nothing is touching you, bulls***!!  I have a sore rib 10 years after rads.  So refuse to do any of this without the apron over your babe.

Even with both providers agreeing, I would be seriously considering waiting.

Rads are mainly concerned with recurrence, and that makes you no more at danger of your life than the original diagnosis, if I remember correctly.  So what if you do recur?  Miserable, but you are in the same place as before.  So I would wait.

Sheesh, so hard to know.  Hugs, Shirlann
