My only input is... Biotene mouth wash and toothpaste.  Try eatng cold stuff this may numb the area. I hope you get relief soon.

Biotene did the trick for me.  Get both the mouthwash and the toothpaste.  After my first chemo, the sores hurt so bad it felt as if my teeth were itching.  After a few days of the Biotene, they cleared up and I never had a problem after that.  In fact, many people have dental problems after chemo and I didn't have any at all.  I did brush and rinse several times a day though just to try to get that nasty taste out of my mouth.

    God bless,

    JerseyMaria,

I have also gotten from my onc dyflucan for the yeast on my tongue along with nystatin with you swish, gargle and swallow.  I also take Valtrex because I am very susceptible to fever blisters and have taken this daily since I started chemo.  I have also used the Biotene mouthwash and the toothpaste.  I have also purchased Prevention Mouthwash with out alcohol which also helps with cold sore and that also seems to help.  I have only had the mouth sores when I was on Xeloda and Taxotere at the same time.  But since I have been taken off of Xeloda my mouth get some what raw but I don't get the sore.  Hope this helps.

    Hugs,

    Linda
