Hey everyone,  I need some advice.  I have been having pain in my shoulder blade area and on top of my shoulders and not feeling well at all on and off for the past three months.  I have two treatments left on herceptin (had the normal as it seems 8 rounds of chemo and herceptin for 1 year).  My onc ordered a bone scan and ct scan in July and all was negative thank God --but Im still not feeling well.  Also had mammogram on breast that I still have in June and it also was negative.  Went to see my gyn last week because my breast was bothering me (dull ache) she sent me for an ultrasound and did a ca-125 all also was negative. The last time I seen my onc she ordered a ca 27-29 which came back at 45 and this is what initiated the bone and ct scan.  Had blood work done again last week and it was 37,   I feel like cancer is growing somewhere else and they are just not detecteing it.  Am I nuts????  I thought I would be feeling great my now but I'm definately not.  I need to know what to do!  Please help!

    Hi, Kathy.

Many of us have found that as we go through the herceptin treatment, we became progressive more fatigued with each treatment.  In my case, it was about 2 months after my last herceptin treatment before my energy and sense of well being returned.

As far as your shoulder pain goes, scroll up the page to the forum "Prostheses and Alternatives to Reconstruction."  In the thread, Dare to be Breastless, some of us discuss our back and shoulder pain (posts towards bottom of first page).  I am also including a link to that thread which will hopefully let you click on it.
