SNB dye reaction??

I have been posting about my mom who had surgery on the 5th of August. Her breast has been red, swollen, warm, and she has been running a low grade temp. of 99.5. They did a culture and although she told us that they said it was positive for infection, they are now saying she misunderstood them and that it was negative. But yet they wrote her a new script for Cipro the day they called??? Now today they say stop the Cipro you never had an infection. Doesn't quite make sense. Anyway the BS tells her that he has been seeing pink boobs all day. He feels that the "new" snb dye they are using is causing this. He said it is not an allergic reaction. Just a reaction. An entire month later...still reacting??? What do all of you think? He scheduled her axillary clearance for the 26th. My mom is still not feeling well.

I would be scared and go back to the dr. or to a different dr. especially with her not feeling well

This happened to me as well.  After they injected me my chest got all red and I started running a low grade fever.  I asked if it was a reaction to the dye and they said they were not sure.  But mine  did end up clearing up after a couple days.
