Yes, eating well is good against cancer

I was a bit disapointed by the results of the WHEL study, but seems they are wrong:

Interesting article.  Why doctor's will not believe what you eat can make a difference in your health is beyond me. Again they were wrong. New bc research does say low fat/low carb diet. Big factor in recurrence is weight gain.

It's really a shame that many  conventional doctors just don't get it. How about "you are what you eat". Yes, there are many variables why some of us are more prone to disease than others but common sense would tell anyone diet makes a difference.  Now that I'm done with radiation, I'm seeing a naturalpath who relies heavily on blood work to advise me of specific diet changes & appropropriate supplements to meet my specific deficiencies.  It's not one size fits all as many conventional doctors seem to think.  When I tell my conventional doctors what my naturalpath has me taking, it's as if I'm speaking Greek to them.. Oh...well...we need to do what we feel necessary to stay healthy.

If any of you listen to Dr. Oz on the Oprah show... he was saying that as a nation... we are sooo far behind other countries in our regard for alternative therapies.   Unfortunately, Dr.'s are not required to study nutrition to the degree you would think.  They are taught symptoms and treatments.. and sometimes whatever the drug rep tells them!!!

We have to be our own advocate, and remember our intuitions.  We are strong women and know how important it is to use common sense.  Trust that the right information will come to you.  Do your own research and let it speak to your heart.

Mammogram didn't even pick up me tumor one year ago and it was 6.5 cm by the time we found it... it was getting masked by all the cysts!  So, you can't even rely on mammos!!  Be proactive!!
